The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage

Location is incredible. Facilities are great. We ate at the Edge restaurant and the food was amazing. Staff were all very friendly, rooms were a good size.

My wife and I recently returned from a wonderful stay.

The excellence actually started months in advance of our arrival, all thanks to Mr. Victor Lozano. His assistance, attention to detail, and proactive communication set a phenomenal tone for our entire trip. He deserves a lot of credit for making us feel so valued from the start.

That great service continued as soon as we arrived at the resort. The valet staff was welcoming, efficient, and consistently great throughout our stay. Because we arrived shortly after the 4th of July, the combination of the post-holiday timing and the desert heat meant the resort was beautifully quiet and peaceful—exactly the kind of relaxing escape we were looking for.

Having Club Lounge access was a huge plus. The lounge provided the bulk of our meals, offering fantastic food and drink presentation throughout the day, and served as a wonderfully relaxing place to sit and unwind. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.

From months before check-in all the way to our departure, the entire team at Rancho Mirage was phenomenal.

We visited The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage last fall and I should have submitted this sooner, but want to share that this was a beautiful resort. The rooms, decor, pool and all dining were excellant. They even offer the unique opportunity to look at the stars over the desert sky with a telescope, very unique. In addition to this stay, I had arranged a special reunion with a family member who I'd not seen in many, many years. I spoke with the sweetest and kindest person, Lead Hospitality Concierge, Amber Owen's about this and she seemed to understand exactly what was needed. I'm forever grateful for her professional and calm manner of creating the right surroundings and expericance. Some people are just in the right position to make special moments, even more so!

We have traveled extensively and stayed at some of the world's most celebrated luxury properties — Aman, Four Seasons, Rosewood, Waldorf Astoria, and well over 15 Ritz-Carlton properties around the globe. Service at this level is something we take seriously, and we do not say this lightly: the team at The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage is truly exceptional.

This was actually a return visit after seven years, and our previous stay had left us hesitant. I'll also admit I had read some reviews before booking and almost talked myself out of it. I am so glad I didn't.

Yes, the rooms are on the cozier side compared to newer resorts. But ours (2104) was immaculately kept, and the space carried what I can only describe as old school Ritz-Carlton charm — classic, warm, and refined. Not outdated. There is a difference, and this property understands it.

From the moment we arrived, Joni at the front desk set the tone with a warm, seamless check-in that immediately made us feel at home. Daniel from guest services went above and beyond at every turn. Victor Lozano, Director of Rooms, personally reached out during our stay to ensure everything was to our satisfaction — that kind of leadership-level attention is rare and did not go unnoticed.

The Club Lounge was a highlight. Lao was wonderful, attentive, and genuinely warm throughout our time there. There was also a gentleman working the lounge in the afternoon and evening whose name we unfortunately did not catch, but he was equally impressive and deserves recognition.

What sets Rancho Mirage apart is not just the stunning desert setting or the beautiful property. It is the people. Every single interaction felt sincere, not scripted. That is the difference between a hotel that trains its staff and one that truly inspires them.

We came back after seven years with cautious expectations. We are leaving already planning our return. Thank you to the entire team for restoring our faith and then some.

Attended Candlelight Concert: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac. The music was wonderful but... the venue is very poor compared to advertising. It is not a tiered venue but flat so section c seats have very limited visibility of the stage. Additionally, for a room of 600+ individuals the temperature was overly warm. The parking fee of $20 was also an unadvertised surprise.

Huge shoutout to Joni, my favorite person at the Ritz! She is such a sweetheart and perfectly captures what Ritz-Carlton customer service is all about. Every time she checks us in, we immediately feel incredibly welcome. Having visited so many Ritz properties, I can confidently say that Joni is the reason this one is my favorite. She is the perfect ambassador for the brand—they really need to promote her to a global trainer so she can teach front-desk staff everywhere!

Clean room, Staff was Good and Smiling at most days, breakfast and brunch was fresh and delicious. Quite facility with little to none as far as activities. While wives were out and about us Men literally had 1 bar TV and nothing else to do! No billiards, no cigar room, no media room, no game room. I felt it was very limited for adult males to interact or enjoy. Other than that everything else was good. 1 shot of Glenlivet 12 was $32 dollars, the bottle at Ralph’s is $29.99, so skip the drinking or BYOB.
