I ended up unexpectedly stuck in Boston after my flight was cancelled Friday evening, and with every flight on every airline sold out on Saturday, I had no choice but to find a hotel and stay for the weekend. That could have easily turned into a frustrating experience, but the team at the Hilton Boston/Dedham made the situation so much better, especially Brandon, the Front Desk Manager.
The hotel itself is nice, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. Brandon was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and genuinely wonderful to work with. He went out of his way to make what was already a stressful travel situation feel much easier. His attitude and willingness to help are exactly what great hospitality should look like.
I also want to recognize the guys working at the bar. Unfortunately, I didn't catch their names, but they were fantastic as well. They were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful throughout my stay. One of them even mentioned that it was only his second day at this hotel, and you would never have known it. He fit right in and provided excellent service.
Unexpectedly having to spend an entire weekend in Boston because of cancelled flights wasn't exactly how I planned my trip, but the hospitality I received at the Hilton Boston/Dedham made a difficult situation considerably more enjoyable.
A huge thank you to Brandon and the entire team for taking such good care of me. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Boston/Dedham area. Great hotel, but more importantly, great people who genuinely care about their guests.
Ladies at front desk were friendly and helpful. Facilities and rooms were a bit old and run down. Close to rail stop but a bit out of the way from businesses by foot. Microwave available
In lobby. Cleanliness could be improved, toilet
paper had dust on them.
It had a great location, easy walking distance from the train. And although it's expensive, there is a restaurant located inside of the hotel.
Our air conditioner was broken. Somebody came to fix it claimed it would be fixed in a few minutes. It wasn't, they bought us a box fan while we waited, we spent those nights in a 78 degree room. The ice machine wasn't working, so we couldn't get ice, we had 4 towels, but they only left two washcloths. There was an exit sign hanging by a wire in the hallway, looked dangerous. The refrigerator didn't get cold, it took us twenty minutes to figure out that the t v wasn't working because someone had unplugged the cable from the back. The toilet kept running all night, there was something wrong with the shower pressure. When you turned it on hot, it drizzled, and you had to turn the knob a full 360 and then another 180 to work.
There was availablity
Everything!! The room smelled. Felt dirty. There were huge carpenter ants. The air conditioner was broken. I checked out after 2 hours
My parents stayed at your hotel and their experience with Brandon was amazing. He was very friendly, polite and patient with helping. They thought he was a wonderful young man and I would like to thank him!
Very convenient
Oh my. The most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at. There are more than a handful of reasons for this but the main one is MICE! In my 3 day trip we saw mice twice, once near the hotel kitchen and another on the fourth floor as it squeezed under someone’s door.
AC in room did not work
Came here because of a regional meeting and I would never stay here again. I'd stay far away from this place as I travel every week multiple days and it takes too long to check in and they don't even recognize you as a diamond member. I've never seen a crappy hotel like this before.
Hilton wake up before everyone moves to Marriott which I'm in the process of doing. You're not getting the scores correctly and you are getting bad customer scores you're sure and hell has not done anything with it.
It doesn't seem that they're even going to try to change it as it doesn't even seem it wants to come into 2026 at all.
Another hotel that cheaps out on a closed tool for a whole year? How is that allowed to be happening?
The rug in the hallways was put in by amateurs and I almost tripped because they're buckled in the middle of the hallway like they weren't stretched to the walls.
First of all air conditioning doesn't work like everyone keeps on saying on here and they have no fix for it. It's 80° in this room thank God it's not 100° outside. They say they can't move me to a new room because it's sold out and I think that's a lie. As you read from the other people recently it's an old hotel with a Sieve of a roof it rains hard. It doesn't even seem like management even cares and I don't know how Hilton hasn't taken this property away from this franchisee.

Nothing.
Basketball court across from our room. 1 outlet in the room was the only one that worked.
I like retro building and brutalist architecture and the view from the room
Everything smelled faintly like cigarette smoke. The air conditioner did not cool the room at all despite adjusting the temperature. Pool is closed for a year. Front desk staff isn’t the friendliest or as polished as i would have expected. I don’t expect super phony but it just seemed like minimum wage workers. Kinda flat vibe. Some kind of water was leaking into buckets in hallway. Musty
Saw a mouse
I want to start off on a positive note. The service at this hotel was impeccable but that is the only redeeming quality of this property.
I chose this location because I had a meeting taking place at the hotel the day after I arrived.
The first two rooms didn’t have air conditioning. The third room I received had air conditioning but was full of hair…in the shower (six hairs! Yes, I counted them!) and a gigantic hair ball in the carpet between the bathroom and bedroom.
The hotel is dirty and old. It was so gross.
If you’re a Hilton person who usually stays at a Hilton, this property does NOT live up to their standards.
Do not waste your money on this property. It has much less to be desired.
Location was good.
Front desk was very cold. Did not feel very welcoming, she didn'teven speak just àll she said was she beed a credit card for incidentals. No hello or welcome or anything. Honestly that just made me feel like everything else about my stay wasn't goong to be pleasant. My room was way down the hall and there was not one bellmans cart in sight. I didn't even want to ask the front desk person as the demeanor was not very engaging. The room was in need of some maintenance, the wall paper was peeling in the bathroom, the desk chair was broken, I almost fell when I sat in and sat back. We wanted to heat our food and there was no microwave so we had quite a long walk to the lobby from our room. That was definitely not a plus especially when you're tired. I've stayed here plenty of times and I could feel a decline in the hotels service and quality overall.
My wife and I traveled all the way from California for our honeymoon and our first World Cup experience, and our stay at the Hilton Dedham has been extremely disappointing.
I specifically booked and paid for a King Bed room and even contacted the hotel through the Hilton app and by phone before arrival to confirm it. When we arrived just before 11 PM after a long day of travel, we were told there were no King Bed rooms available because of unexpected World Cup demand. I find that hard to understand given that this is one of the closest Hilton hotels to the event and we had already confirmed our reservation.
Instead of the room we reserved, we were given a room with two separate beds on our honeymoon. The only options offered were to accept it, cancel, or find another hotel. After traveling across the country late at night, that was not a reasonable solution.
Unfortunately, the problems continued. After unpacking, we discovered the air conditioning was not working, forcing us to return to the front desk and move all of our luggage to another room on the opposite side of the hotel. The replacement room had working AC, but it was so loud that we could barely sleep until 3 AM. We also found that the sink in the room was cracked.
What makes this even more frustrating is that this happened last night, and we still have two more nights remaining. So far, nobody from management has contacted us, offered an upgrade, attempted to move us into a King Bed room, or provided any meaningful resolution.
This was supposed to be the first night of our honeymoon, but instead it was filled with stress, frustration, and exhaustion. We chose Hilton because of its reputation and paid a premium rate expecting quality accommodations and service. Unfortunately, this experience has fallen far below those expectations.
I hope hotel management reaches out to address this situation while we are still guests.
