I am giving this hotel 2 stars only because the front desk staff were great. We were there with a group for a tournament, so we had multiple issues across all of the rooms. It's rare that a hotel achieves the trifecta of issues with pests, plumbing and HVAC, but here at the Hilton Boston/Dedham they strive to disappoint across all categories.
Plumbing - On day 2 of our stay the toilets stopped flushing. They were no clogged, they just wouldn't flush. Maintenance never came to fix it.
Ants - One room had ants the whole time which were not handled after complaint.
MICE - Four of the rooms had mice in them and we also saw one running down the hall. To get rid of it they sent someone down with a broom handle presumably to beat the mouse to death in front of the children. They said they didn't have any open rooms to move us.
HVAC - At the end of one hall the a/c wouldn't work. The rooms were hot and stuffy. They promised to bring a box fan, it never came. At the other end of the hall the heat wouldn't' work and the rooms were freezing the entire time.
Customer service - I called the hotel and left multiple messages as well as sent emails prior to our stay. No one ever responded. We left messages for the manager while we were there and never received a response.
Good room, very quiet and comfortable. Restaurant came in handy for dinner and breakfast. Perfect for my needs for this stay.

Bathroom. Cracked sink. My wife could not take a shower because there was several inches of water in the tub with black debris type stuff coming up out of the mostly plugged up tub drain? She had to wash up in the sink. We were time pressed to make it to a convention in the area. Shower tub plug backed up some debris and hair coming into tub from drain Door security not good from dead bolt not working and upper door security, where the chain goes Mickey Mouse with a block of wood that was not thick enough for Door Security. Took photos of everything. Management said they would have maintenance correct problems. Also, I don’t think the room should’ve been rented in that condition if we had known of those bathroom problems we would have had them put the room out of service and give us another room.

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing.
On March 10, 2026, I spoke with a front desk employee named Frank (or a similar name) who was exceptionally rude and unhelpful. During the call he raised his voice, refused to confirm his statements in writing, and hung up the phone when I asked if he could simply send an email confirming what he had just told me.
The situation was particularly frustrating because the information we received from staff was contradictory. When we checked in on March 9, another front desk employee told us that the hotel could cancel the reservation on their end and that we would then handle the refund with the third-party booking service. However, the next day Frank insisted that the hotel could not cancel the reservation at all.
To be clear, I was not asking him to process a refund. I only asked for a simple confirmation that the reservation had been cancelled on the hotel’s side so that I could follow up with the third-party booking provider. Instead of assisting, he became dismissive and ended the call.
Unfortunately, the hotel conditions themselves were also extremely poor.
The pool was not functioning, despite being advertised.
The hallways had a very strong, unpleasant odor.
The HVAC system blew musty air into the room, making it difficult to breathe.
Windows cannot be opened at all, so there is no way to get fresh air into the room.
Because of the air quality, my child began experiencing breathing discomfort while we were there and could not sleep at all.
The room itself was also dirty and poorly maintained.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had, and certainly the worst experience we have had at a Hilton property. I would not recommend staying here, even if the price appears attractive.

No one is answering the phone at the hotel's accounting or front desk lines.
I was here for a group winter meeting. The hotel was warm, comfortable beds, pleasant staff. Herbert the manager was efficient, personable and helpful. He clearly pitches in wherever he is needed. The wait staff for our group dinner was great. Front desk staff is very welcoming.
