i am afraid to give a report as i am awaiting a refund. the building has some decent apartments, unfortunately the one i was assigned was not one. It was obvious the place has not been used in awhile. There were light bulbs missing, the bathroom sink didn't work properly and drained onto the floor. The apartment faces west and gets very hot, unfortunately it is located right next to the highway and the noise is unbearable for 24 hours. if you close the windows, the place gets up to 90 degrees as there is no air conditioners in this unit. (other units had a/c for the same price) to make matters worse, the curtains were not black out and let the sun in, so no cool down was allowed. the furniture had broken handles and bed frames. to top it off, there was old milk cartons left in the refrigerator.

For our purposes the location was great. If you want to be in the main part of the city this would not be ideal, although Uber was easy from here (30 mins to center of town). Neighborhood seemed safe. The CODE Expo tennis and aquatic center is a 5 min walk.
As many have written the apartment had an odd odor, we went to Walmart (short walk 15 min) and bought disinfectant spray and sprayed all the drains/surfaces, which helped. After a few days the smell was gone, it may be caused by sewer gas as we smelled the same on the street in the area. It could also be the water, we don't know.
Be aware this is a B&B type property, there are no services, they do not even provide replacement toilet paper. Several lights were burned out and not replaced. They did provide shower soap, but no soap for the washing machine which had some problems, ie only hot water (you needed to turn off the water heater if you want cold). The king bed was very soft. The towels were adequate (you wash them, if needed for longer stays). The apartment could use a deep clean in the shower areas. Our unit did not have A/C and could get warm in the day. At night (actually all day) the freeway noise was quite loud if you wanted to sleep, we used the fans they provided. There was lots of storage, and we appreciated unit size, the furniture was adequate not high quality. Ask for an extra key card to access the building if you're not together all the time, they have a lock box to keep the apartment key at the door to the apartment. There is a bodega market downstairs and coffee shop for basic needs and an OXXO store next door for other stuff. Some other units may have A/C and not face the freeway.
Being able to speak Spanish is helpful to communicate with the staff of the unit, who will meet you at the entry to give you the keys when you arrive. Get a phone number if you need them after that.
It was close to the aquatic center where I had an event.
