They recently renovated and they did a great job. The rooms are updated and modern. I’ll definitely stay there again.
Very clean, very close to PSU and love that there’s a coffee shop
Lobby areas were nice. Bar was nice.
High price.
Renovations look great. Very clean and inviting. Shuttle is a huge plus. Wish we had more than 1 driver
Miss the free coffee
The positives are the comfort of the bed, linens were divine, and the room was all windows (with room darkening blinds) which was very cool. However! We called ahead for an early check in and were told it shouldn't be a problem. My husband needed to arrive at noon for his conference. I waited until 1:00 to ask about check in and was told to come back at 2:30. I found somewhere else to go and came back just before standard check in (4:00). At 3:47 I was told the room wasn't ready! Tried to go to the hot tub mentioned on website - there is no hot tub. Our room was very large and separated in the middle. I realized the heat vent only worked on one side so one side was super hot and the other was freezing. I asked the front desk to check on it and they said they would while I used the fitness center, but the problem was never resolved. The fitness center was not the cleanest and there was no way to wipe machines or mats down from sweat. The duvet was in the closet rather than on the bed. Our second day, housekeeping came in at 4:00 with just towels. I was hoping to get the waste can emptied, bed made, and room re-stocked with clean glasses. Housekeeping seemed very annoyed that I'd have any requests ... I had to gather towels myself, remove the bag (that I'd supplied) from the waste can myself, bed was not made, and when I requested clean glasses and mugs, housekeeping washed them in my bathroom sink with her hands and wood scented hand soap. Gross. There were only two hangers in the enormous closet. I didn't notice we were missing a hairdryer until my hair was wet and we needed to leave for dinner. I couldn't call the front desk on the house phone because it has no dial tone. I called the hotel number on my cell and it took me through the menu three times before I got a person. They said they would bring me a hair dryer "right now". We waited a very long time before we had to just leave for dinner with wet hair.
The shudle service was excellent
Love the location, the vibe and the room upgrades. Roy, bartender in Legends, is always great. Hayden very good as well
We are very disappointed that Penn State has sold out to The Scholar Group. At one point, all rooms for football season were $399/ngt. We are now paying $1795.98 for the projected White Out weekend. Highway robbery and no consideration of hard-working, longtime customers. A free game day shuttle had been provided. Not any longer. Not even a plastic laundry bag in the room. There had been a much better, more extensive menu in Legends Pub, as well as a few drinkable wines. The menu has now been drastically cut and there is not a passable wine selection. If someone can afford these ridiculous prices, don’t you think that they are likely someone that might enjoy a decent glass of wine? How difficult is it, to have bottles available for those who would like to have it?
Bed was comfortable. Lobby was cute.
Jacuzzi in photo is non existent. Photo is deceiving. Pool area was filthy, no clean towels, stagnant smell. The heat wouldn’t shut off in our room so we had to open the window. It was about 90* all night. The tub was gritty. There was a water bottle and napkins under the bed, clearly not checked.
Great location. Very clean. Easy check-in and check-out processes.
Pillows too thick. Many hotels have multiple pillow types in the room. Not here. These pillows made it hard to get comfortable.
Close to hospital
Hallways were extremely bitter cold. Refrigerator in room was not plugged in
