Classic Hotel Muar

This hotel is very old and not well-maintained. Tiles inside the room and toilet bowl are broken, moldy toilet, etc.

Even the marble inside the lift floor is broken too.

The last time I used it many years ago, it was a very nice comfortable hotel. I booked this hotel because of my previous experience. However, I got a big shock when see the hotel in such a dilapidated state. If they really want to keep it as a hotel and attract customers, they better do a total revamp of the hotel. It was the worst hotel (if I can call it) I have been to. It is really sad to see that it has fallen to this sorry state.

Bad service is not clean at all

It exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was especially cozy, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water and high-speed Wi-Fi.

The hotel’s location was perfect — close to major attractions, restaurants, parking is free for hotel guests and we found it peaceful quiet at night.

Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely return. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers!

This is our favourite hotel in Muar we always stay here . On the plus side the room is very spacious with average decor . However the air con is either off or freezing and sounds like a jet engine . The toilet is continually blocked . Having said staff is very nice and friendly

Old hotel need renovation, location is good and there is a small shopping mall just next to it.

I've stayed here many times. Its a decent hotel and if you are lucky you get a better room.

This time, the room I stayed in was very average. I wish the management would refurbish the room and make improvements.
1. bathroom - tub is rusty and show water flows along the rims and pours onto the floor, leaving a very wet floor. This is dangerous, as guests can slip and hurt themselves.

2. Remove bathtubs and install closed showers No one uses the tubs for bubble baths!

3. Towels - hotel management only provides 2, no hand towels anymore

4. Rooms are dark despite all lights turned on.

Whats good
1. The staff on the ground - reception and housekeeping. I felt the only one-per floor (or less) house-keeping chap was over-worked the weekend I stayed.

2. location - in the centre of town. The pasar malam is just a few steps away.

3. Coffee making facilities - sufficient

4. 2 shower gels, shampoos only. You can ask for more if you require. Nothing else

Great location beside shopping, clean room though the hotel is running old.

A bit old and tired but in a great location with plenty of amenities . Parking is free . Hotel staff friendly . They could do with sorting the toilet plumbing as our toilet was blocked 3 times

The location of the hotel is excellent but The room is old, dirty and smelly carpet with broken toilet door, it has not been renovated for a long time.

The hotel location is convenient & allows easy walking distance access to the old town, Glutton Street, many local coffee shops & attractions.

Shopping mall just next door. Covered Parking is good. Walkable to nearby food street

I should have believed what the reviewers were saying. This place should not be in business. It looks like no one in the company cares whether the hotel is operating like a hotel. It needs a new manager. I booked an executive suite thinking that it would be better. No, it's the same as what all the reviewers are saying. I'm writing this at 6:40 am because I couldn't sleep. The airconditioner is not working, warm air coming out of it. My medicine is spoiled because the fridge is not working. The toilet bowl is not properly cleaned. The bed side table lamp cannot be turned off. The mattress is probably a cheap matress that you buy at a swap meet. Luckily, I booked the room for only one night. I cannot wait to get out of this room.

The check-in was quick and smooth. Unfortunately, the hotel unableb to meet our special request that was made nearly a year ago. Also, the cistern in one of the room was not functioning causing water to overflow during check in. The total condition of the rooms seems to be deteriorating even after a supposedly renovation made.

Central hotel with lots of amenities around .shopping mall nearby . Free parking included . Staff friendly and helpful . The only downside is the decor looks tired and could be updated.
