1st family holiday to the Villa Mandi
Pros:

Went on our 1st family holiday (son is 5). We loved it at the Villa Mandi! The staff were great - especially the gentleman at reception- always happy and polite.
Room we had an issue with when we arrived but it was sorted quickly. Big bedroom, big shower and bathroom are. A nice little living area with kitchen, dinning table, sofa and tv. Balcony was also nice (we mainly used it to dry clothes).
We went all inclusive. Food was ok-ish, we had omelettes for breakfast, lunch would he freshly made pizza and dinner would be meat freshly made on the grill with rice / salad etc. Desserts were nice cakes and fruit.
Drinks were ok, usual drinks included in the all in.
Kids entertainment was fab! My son loved the disco in the evening and the entertainment after the kids disco most kids enjoyed as well.
We did not use the kids club as we ended up busy most days.
There is an onsite supermarket which is expensive or you can go to a bigger supermarket which is a 10min walk.
The pool was nice, not over crowded and we also got a deck even though we never got there early.
The beach and main restaurants / shops were a good 30mins walk which did not bother us as we love to walk and it meant nights were quiet around the hotel.
We had unlimited access to Siam Park and went 3 times and esch time we went we loved it like the first !!!
We loved the holiday, great holiday for my son’s first holiday and he made some great memories! We would love to go back!

Good hotel poorly ran
Pros:

Lovely little hotel, which meant nothing ever felt too busy. It's not too far from the beach.
The walk to the local main supermarket is very questionable.
The food was never particularly hot, even when the restaurant had just opened.
The rooms are a good size, but we had quite a few bugs, including cockroaches and the surprise visit of a praying mantis.
The kids' club was amazing, and I couldn't fault the TUI team. They were always around and interacting with the children.
Most of the staff were good, except for the "happy chef", who refused to cook a fresh omelette for my child because the ones on the buffet were stone cold.
The bartender was just as unhelpful, seeming more interested in serving all-inclusive drinks for the restaurant than customers at the bar. He kept us waiting for an ice-cream over five minutes before we gave up and walked to the local shop instead.
All in all, it was an okay stay, but we won't be returning.

We had a great stay at Hotel Villa Mandi. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well looked after throughout our visit. Cheap and cheerful
Pros:

For the price you can’t go wrong. meals were okay I’m a fussy eater and I managed to eat while I was there. Bar shut a little early (23:00) but I just went around to Mercadona a bought a 6 pack of Dorada for €3.50. It was a nice hotel and if I was to go back to Tenerife I would go back to villa mandi. The Siam park acces saved us around 230 as we went twice. Overall wasn’t a bad shout would recommend to anyone who isn’t a fussy person!

Pros:

Lovely holiday with my wife and 2 young kids(10 & 6). Food, room and resort, all excellent. Place was always clean. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Only 10 minutes walk to busier areas for bars, shops and the taxis are also very cheap. The only flaw we found was the evening entertainment considering the resort was full when we were there, some nights only 5/6 people and other nights 40/50 people going to evening show. Pool areas are great, kids can play away and help themselves to snacks and drinks and no stressing about sun beds, always some available.Would definitely return. 4.7/5

Fantastic Family holiday
Pros:

Just back from a fabulous 10day stay in Villa Mandi with the unlimited entry to Siam Park. From arrival we were met by friendly reception staff who checked in us promptly , we had room 338 duplex apartment probably the most spacious apartment we have ever stayed in. The cleaners were faultless and were in with us every 2nd day.

Pool areas spotless with plenty of sun beds, we perched ourselves around the main pool area as our little one attached herself to the steps of the pool Lol..

My kids joined the TUI kids club from day 1 and had such a good connection with the reps Emma, Lupina, Nicole , Sarah & Wilum. They made crafts , did lizard hunts, played games. They had that much fun that they went sometimes twice a day.

This property is walkable to both resorts Los Cristianos & Las Americas in about 20mins however in about 10mins you will find a Mercadona supermarket for all your essentials. We walked every night for dinner into either resort. Fabulous meals out 7 plenty of shopping on the strip.

Siam park entry included they have the free shuttle pick you up at 10.15 and drop you back at 5.30. We went twice to Siam Park & we also booked a trip to Loro Parque.
The onsite Tui Rep Matius was also very helpful and is around all week in reception.

There is kids disco & entertainment on every night however we missed most of this, we did catch the parrot show which was very good.

I will say for us the biggest let down of the property is the food, we only ate here one night and paid locally approx 22 per adult & 11 per child for buffet style dinner but the variety wasn't great & also a hot dog my daughter got was not very appealing.
The food definitely could do with been upgraded somehow.

If staying here I would suggest to maybe stay self catered and not all inclusive basis.

All in all a fantastic holiday & would definitely return.

Great visit
Pros:

I honestly cannot fault this hotel in anyway.
We travelled with 5 adults and a three year old and we all had a great time. The hotel was clean, both the public areas and the room. Our room was cleaned daily, the reception staff were friendly and understanding, the bar/restaurant staff were attentive and friendly. The choice of the two main pools and little splash pool was great and kept our little one well occupied, especially with being allowed to use floats/toys. The two little parks were also great.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom duplex with a sofa bed, aircon worked perfectly and little fridge/kitchenette worked fine for us as not having to use it much.

We were all inclusive and absolutely made the most of this. The food was fine with loads of choice. There was something every meal time that suited all of us, we like to try new things which there always were for lunch/dinner but with the option of easy well known food for children. We purposely chose the hotel for it's easy going dining and all day availability. The same for alcohol, we made use of the bars between us and although advertised as limited we were all more than happy with the sangria!

We used the shuttle several times to Siam park/beach which was comfy and timely. We walked to the nearby shops, walked to the beach and up one of the local mountains, we would have done more walking but it was just too hot for us, but location wise was great, a little out so not loud at night etc.

We went to the entertainment a few times, it was a little late for our little boy otherwise we would have gone more but we managed to see a few of the shows, the magician being the highlight! Couldn't hear anything from the room balcony either so on our relaxed nights there was nothing to bother us.

We had such a lovely time. We did witness some not very nice attitudes of other guests to the staff which I hope they don't take personally as we couldn't have faulted anyone. A special shout out to the young man from Cuba (apologies we didn't get your name) who was always smiling and cheered up our little one when he had a tumble on the park.

Thank you to all those who served/helped us, especially trying to track down our little ones lost teddy bear! We hope to visit again!

Great hotel amazing staff
Pros:

Went to Villa Mandi for a post Christmas break in Jan 26. Have been to Tenerife on many occasions but never stayed here before.
Rooms… spacious, modern, cleaned daily with generous balcony space and a compact but fully functional kitchen.
Pool area… plenty of sunbeds, never had a problem getting a sun lounger round the pool. Two pools to choose from. Both sunny and one heated…
Food… not a massive choice but everything was well presented. Fresh meat and fish cooked to order daily. Never had a problem finding something to eat. We went AI and were very happy with choices for bkfst, lunch and dinner.
Drinks… all fine, good selection of spirits and wine.
Staff… all very friendly. A particular shout out to one of the managers Anna who gave us a lovely room, and was friendly and attentive during our stay. But all bar, restaurant and reception staff were friendly.
Entertainment… not lots on offer because we were there at a very quiet time, but there was something on every night, much of which we got involved in and watched.
Hotel is a little way from the beach/resort centre but it’s only a 20 min walk or a 5 euro taxi. Enjoyed the walk when we went out, and taxied back to hotel.
Overal we had a lovely break at the Villa Mandi and look forward to going back there in September.
Thank you for a great holiday.

AVOID
Pros:

I honestly cannot understand how this hotel has the ratings it does. From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. The room felt tired and poorly maintained, with furnishings that looked like they had seen much better days. Cleanliness was inconsistent, and several areas appeared neglected.

The location was far less convenient than advertised, meaning we spent far too much time and money getting to the places we actually wanted to visit. The food quickly became repetitive, lacking both variety and quality, and meals felt more like a chore than part of a holiday. To make matters worse, we found flies around the food on multiple occasions, which was extremely off-putting and raised concerns about hygiene standards.

What frustrated me most was the overall lack of attention to detail. For a resort that promotes itself as a relaxing getaway, the atmosphere often felt disorganised and underwhelming. I also found interactions with some members of staff to be unprofessional and unhelpful, which only added to the negative experience.

There were occasions during our stay when I did not feel as safe or as well looked after as I would expect from a hotel of this type. Combined with the other issues, this left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed throughout much of the holiday. Safety appeared to be a particular concern, with unsafe light fittings in some areas, tiles coming away from the pool steps, and parasols that were bent and would not stay up properly. On one occasion, after moving a sun lounger, part of a wall actually fell away, which was shocking and alarming. There was also an incident where someone had defecated in the pool, and this happened twice during our stay, further highlighting the poor standards being maintained.

Overall, the hotel failed to deliver on its promises and did not provide the standard I would expect. For the price paid, the experience simply was not worth it. I would not return, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

A nice hotel but a little too far out for self catering.
Pros:

Transfer from airport approx 15-20mins.
Check in was a breeze, 2 key cards given with directions to our room (the hotel isn't too big so it was easy to find).

We stayed in room 222 with a balcony view of the pool and next door golf course and it also had a roof terrace which was an absolute sun trap (however our sun brolly didn't fit in the base therefore we were unable to shade ourselves whilst eating dinners). As we only used the roof terrace a couple of times, we didn't feel the need to mention this to reception.

The room was spacious and modern with 1 X bedroom with 2 large singles and a double sofa bed which had already been made up. We found the beds to be fairly comfy, no complaints here. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers.
The bathroom was large however water from the shower did leak under the sliding door and nearly flood the place so we had to pack it with towels after that (not a huge issue).
Beds made daily and bin emptied daily also.
The air con was useless and barely made any difference! Wish I'd have remembered to bring my octopus fan as it was difficult sleeping at night at times. In peak summer times I can see this would be an issue in this room.

The small kitchen was more than adequate with a dual induction hob, fridge, toaster, microwave, kettle and plenty of utensils. Did not include a cloth, tea towel, washing up liquid etc.

The pool area was cleaned daily each morning, always plenty of beds available however we felt an opening time of 10am was a little late. People were putting towels on beds from about 9:30am, at times notes were left by the hotel stating this wasn't allowed. The pool was a perfect temp for May and a lovely refreshing dip. Lots of kids had inflatables in the pool.

Our only gripe here was the constant smell of cannabis from a group of guests smoking throughout the day. Not ideal!

We were self catering so didn't eat in the hotel however we ate food from the pool bar on the day we were leaving and we were happily surprised given reviews we had seen. A lovely toasted tuna sandwich, a toasted bacon sandwich and chips. Toasted sandwiches were just over €6. A slush (small cup) was €3.50 and a large €5. Ice lollies also available at around €3.

Supermarket situated underneath the hotel. Well stocked but quite expensive.

Nearest supermarket is approx 10-15 min walk away (Mercadona - really good supermarket) which is situated amongst a couple of small cafes/restaurants, a chirros van, ice cream parlour, h&m, sketchers and a small kids play area. We ate dinner here a couple of times and the food was lovely and OK priced.

The kids club wasn't mentioned upon check in but luckily the ladies (Nicole, Emma and Lupina) came around the pool introducing themselves and their service. Our kids loved kids club, the ladies were absolutely fantastic and it was a nice shaded break out of the sun for the kids.

With the free Siam Tickets that came with our booking, we decided to visit. Initially apprehensive and thinking we weren't 'waterpark people'...we left having an awesome time. The park is great, well set out and the shops inside are good value for money. We decided to skip the free hotel shuttle bus at 10:15 and got a taxi there instead for €10, arriving at 9:20am. We got in at 9:30, situated ourselves by the large wave pool (walk through entrance and head right), got a locker for €7, water shoes for the boys €10/11 and had been on 3 of the large rides before the hotel shuttle bus would have arrived.
Caught the free shuttle bus home at 17:30 from right outside the main entrance.
*** As adults, we found the floor/paths to be very uncomfortable under bare foot but clicked on that people were leaving their sliders at the ride entrance/exit and just collecting them when they'd finished the ride...no water shoes needed.

We are an easy going family and only complain when things are quite bad or need sorting. We didn't feel the need to complain about anything and enjoyed our stay here.
Would we return...no! But that's nothing to do with the hotel as such, simply because Teneriffe (Las Americas/Los Christianos) just isn't for us...we found it too busy, too loud and we've found we prefer smaller village type places. I also think a lot of people would find this hotel a little too far from anything when self catering and not walkers like ourselves.

***Please also note, the hotel is approx 25 mins walk to either Los Christianos or Las Americas with little to no shops or anything much for that matter in-between. We like to stay on the outskirts and walk into places but this walk was too baron and boring for the kids, there was literally nothing along the walk till you hit town.

Disappointing Cleanliness and Maintenance for the Price Paid
Pros:

We stayed at Villa Mandi Hotel Resort for 6 nights. Overall, the resort is not terrible, but it definitely has some maintenance and cleanliness issues that need attention, especially considering how much we paid for our stay.
On arrival, the curtain in our room had visible mould on it. To their credit, the staff replaced it the following day after we reported it. However, we also noticed that the sofa bed, where my children slept, had dirty corners and stains. I had to ask for extra linen to cover the sides because I was not comfortable with the cleanliness.
During our stay, we found cockroaches in the room, which was very disappointing. Housekeeping standards were also below what I would expect for the price we paid. The bed linen was not changed at all during our 6-night stay, towels were only replaced a few times, and the sinks were never cleaned.
The food was acceptable and there was always something to eat, but the selection became repetitive and boring after a few days.
On the positive side, the evening entertainment was enjoyable, the pool area was clean and well maintained, and the staff were generally pleasant and responsive when issues were reported.
Unfortunately, despite some positive aspects, I do not feel that the overall experience matched the amount of money we spent. Cleanliness and maintenance should be a priority in any resort, and finding mould, dirty furniture, and cockroaches is simply not acceptable.
I would probably not choose to stay here again. I strongly encourage anyone considering Villa Mandi Hotel Resort to read recent reviews carefully before booking and make an informed decision.

Absolutely book here
Pros:

We arrived in December for a three week, as we arrived we were greeted by a lovely front of complex, big nutcrackers the size of the door and Xmas decorations looked lovely, reception clean and staff were really good - explained how to get to our room clearly.
Got to our room on the ground floor we had a lovely patio which even though it’s open the way they set the apartments it actually quite private, we were up by the kiddy pool which is cold (word for me as it meant they didn’t play there). Plenty of sun beds the prices for beer around the pool was also good.
We didn’t eat there as we like to go out but we did have a mooch at the food and looked lovely
The apartment itself was great it’s a nice size with a kitchen and lounge and bedroom with a French door between, a big free bottle of water was cold in our fridge.
Bar, reception, maintenance and cleaning staff all lovely
I had a massage on a cloudy day again it was great and the lady really nice
We rented a mobility scooter, there are charging points available or if like us on ground floor we got an extension cord to charge it from the vendor.
Stand on scooters are always available just outside complex.
Not far to beach.
My only issues were noise upstairs neighbours very heavy footed and arguing all the time, not much they can do about that.
I personally don’t like cleaners in my room except for the beds but the button on the wall for do not disturb didn’t work but we found the cleaner and just told her what we wanted each day which was loo roll and towels and then bed every few days. All of them were great

Bonus for me the pigeons and other birds loved to come down for some seeds each day-

Also the main pool is heated so nice and warm not too warm - personally not a fan of the animation teams but that’s because of me not them they do a great job, i didn’t find them overly intrusive though
