Our families favorite stay every time we visit our daughter at ISU. Affordable accommodations, great pool, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, near all the shopping and dining. Only 10 minutes from the university.
meh
Good breakfast, ice machine didn’t work on my floor, had to go up or down a floor for ice.
Decent motel, would stay again.
Beds are terrible
I’ll start with positives:
Easy to find and well-located off the interstate. This was a quick stay for our fam as we were passing through.
Our room was a decent size for four people. And seemed clean.
Our room was surprisingly quiet (not a lot of hallway or street noise)
Why we won’t be back:
Just not our vibe. Felt old, but not in a vibey, nostalgic way.
The pillows….oh my gosh my poor husband couldn’t sleep. Worst pillows ever.
Bathroom shower - worst engineering imaginable. Three people in our fam of four needed showers and the water is not easily contained inside a poorly-engineered shower stall.
Service - slow, and not particularly pleasant.
We needed extra towels (bathroom floor) but there wasn’t any way to call front desk or housekeeping for towels, so had to visit the front desk in our pjs ;).
We survived one night for sure. Could have been worse, of course.
But we will not be staying here again.
Good price. Clean rooms. Good beds. Good options for breakfast.
For the price, it was good.
Clean and comfortable room. Nice breakfast
The aesthetic of the hotel was remarkably well maintained and very charming. It was great driving around the area and being able to pick out our hotel from the surrounding dime a dozen inns and motels. The hotel was kept clean and orderly, the lobby, breakfast hall, hallways, rooms and pool were all cleaned and refurbished frequently. The staff were very helpful, coming to meet our needs from the moment we first checked in to unlocking the pool as the first ones in at 6 in the morning. I’ll take any excuse to stay there again for future trips and strongly recommend you do the same if you’re looking for a comfortable and charming atmosphere. The Chateau wasn’t just a place to rest our heads but also served as a great spot for hanging out alongside the rest of our endeavors for the weekend.
The hotel was clean and the people were friendly.
Nice and friendly atmosphere excellent value for the price
Place keeps getting better with additions and improvements. Now have a bar and interior is being remodeled.
The property seems to have previously been an above average hotel. However, it is now in need of a significant update to return to that status.
Walls very thin. Rooms on 3rd floor that are open to lobby and bar extremely noisy.
Room is dated and sparse, but spotless. The rest of the property is old and dirty. Plenty of parking, but poorly lit and I didn’t see cameras.
Would not recommend.
Friendly front desk staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Nice towels. Breakfast was nicely served
It’s an adequate hotel to sleep overnight.
they are trying to update this hotel. They need more attention to details. we had paint spots on our carpets, dirt in the corners of the bathroom. The hotel's elevators both had expired inspection certificates.
This was our second trip. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff could have been friendlier but they were nice enough.
Loved the old world charm.
