Fabulous place to stay in would stay again with another visit
Pros:

The rooms with a little antique room to drop your shoes off and put your coats in and such. We’re so wonderful. The hotel entrance has a true Japanese feeling to it.

Cons:

No breakfast. This made it kind of hard.

Pros:

Rendkívül kedves és segítőkész a személyzet. A hotel patyolattiszta, gyönyörű enteriőrrel rendelkezik. A környék csendes, mégis a Gion negyedben központi helyen voltunk. 10/100, ha újra Kyotoban járunk, biztosan ismét ide foglalunk!

Best Hotel in Kyoto!
Pros:

Everything! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the lobby beautifully designed, as soon as you enter you feel like in a beautiful tea garden, the rooms spotlessly clean and aesthetically designed, we enjoyed the free drinks and amenities, Jacuzzi and also the hot stone spa. Great location and it hurt to leave. Would choose anytime again! Thank you!

There are no windows so you will not wake up to natural light but that is personal taste

This is the most luxurious hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If we come back to Kyoto, we will come back here.
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful property, impeccably appointed. Little touches everywhere. Comfortable beds. Outstanding huge bath with jets and shower with strong water pressure, rain shower head, foot wash, and handheld. Wonderful toiletries from L’Occitane. Massage chair was awesome!!! Rooms are found proof. Peaceful lobby with water fall. Complimentary snacks, cappuccino machine, juices, and local drinks. Chocolate croissants in the morning! Fridge and microwave. We were greeted with so much care and respect. Really outstanding. Possibly the best stay I’ve ever had. Just WOW.

Cons:

Honestly, nothing. Every little element was perfection.

The location was perfect, in the Gion region. Can not say enough good things about the staff. When we return, this will be the place we will look to stay!

Beautiful rooms with incredible showers and comfy beds in a great location.
Pros:

Great location in Gion, on the same street as Kennin-ji zen temple.
Huge room for Japan. Amazing shower. Free laundry. Free tea, coffees, water, juice, pot noodle.
The sauna and hot tub were great ( and extra £25 but for 90 minutes, private that’s not bad).

Cons:

The only thing was the house keeping. It’s a pricey hotel and if you ask they will take the trash and make the beds. Otherwise you empty it yourself and leave the bags out which felt a little weird when paying premium prices at such a beautiful hotel.
We also thought they could offer breakfast that was simple but not full-on Japanese version. Egg and toast even. But we’d stay here again. It’s a great place on the whole.
