This hotel was sooooooo nice I would love to go back
Great location in Gion, on the same street as Kennin-ji zen temple.
Huge room for Japan. Amazing shower. Free laundry. Free tea, coffees, water, juice, pot noodle.
The sauna and hot tub were great ( and extra £25 but for 90 minutes, private that’s not bad).
The only thing was the house keeping. It’s a pricey hotel and if you ask they will take the trash and make the beds. Otherwise you empty it yourself and leave the bags out which felt a little weird when paying premium prices at such a beautiful hotel.
We also thought they could offer breakfast that was simple but not full-on Japanese version. Egg and toast even. But we’d stay here again. It’s a great place on the whole.

Amazing spot! Great location. They were so nice. Rooms were great size and luxurious. They had great soaps and an onsite private onsen at a great price.

This hotel is amazing. Beautiful rooms, helpful staff, and in a wonderful walkable location. We booked three rooms for a large group. All rooms were excellent. The spa room was the best hotel room I have stayed at in all my travels because of the amenities. Would highly recommend for couples seeking a relaxing experience after long days walking in the city. Will return again!

No one around staff didn’t seem bothered
I loved this hotel. My only complaint was not being able to stay longer.
The steam room took time to reach a proper steam level, which I think is because of an air gap that released steam into the rest of the room.
The dry sauna was different because it was not stated it was going to be an infrared sauna or a far infrared sauna. I was expecting more of a traditional dry sauna, but I was excited to see the steam.

Honestly nothing. If I was being picky I would say the entrance - you take an elevator to get to the front desk and another to your room. No view, and no hot breakfast, but these were not important to me for this trip.
