Beautiful room that I did not want to leave.
Pros:

I loved this hotel. My only complaint was not being able to stay longer.

Cons:

The steam room took time to reach a proper steam level, which I think is because of an air gap that released steam into the rest of the room.

The dry sauna was different because it was not stated it was going to be an infrared sauna or a far infrared sauna. I was expecting more of a traditional dry sauna, but I was excited to see the steam.

Everything. The excellent and large amount of free amenities, the beautiful rooms and entrance, the location

Cons:

Honestly nothing. If I was being picky I would say the entrance - you take an elevator to get to the front desk and another to your room. No view, and no hot breakfast, but these were not important to me for this trip.

Amazing hotel, super friendly and attentive staff, great location, top notch cleanliness.
Pros:

This hotel greatly exceeded our expectations. Our room was super nice and seemed recently renovated, especially the bathroom was so nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to a main street which was convenient, but still felt quiet and peaceful. Great location close to many restaurants. Only a few yards away there was a family-owned breakfast place that we loved and went almost every day. Our room was relatively large for being in Kyoto were everything is small. And the beds were so comfortable that we felt like sleeping the whole time. And most important than anything (to me), the cleanliness was top notch. Next time I return to Kyoto I will always stay here.

Pros:

Great location. Luxurious accommodations. Bathroom and room amenities (drinks, robe) were unexpected and wonderful. Quite a nice respite from the heat and humidity of the day. The entry lounge and interior architectural design features were impressive.

Wonderful experience in every way.
Pros:

Beautiful, elegant hotel with a perfect mix of traditional Japanese and western qualities. Located in a great, quiet neighborhood close to nice restaurants and quaint streets. The staff were all so kind and helpful.
Breakfast was a traditional Japanese style breakfast. Lovely.

Pros:

Le personnel était très gentil et chaleureux. La chambre était spacieuse juste il n’y a pas de vue mais j’étais tout à fait au courant donc ce n’était absolument pas un problème.

Would stay again in a flash, some very simple additions could make it even better
Pros:

A wonderfully stylish and perfectly located hotel in Gion. Whilst the hotel has a 3* rating it offers comfort and service of much more. The drop in scores is due to a few minor factors, such as less regular room servicing, no breakfast facility and so on. Amazing bathroom, with deep whirlpool bath, and a shower I could stay in for hours. Extremely comfy bed too! The stone and wood spa rooms worth a visit and bliss after a day pounding the pavements!

Cons:

No kettle or coffee machine in the room feels like a miss, having to walk sheepishly to reception coffee machine was a little strange, a quick fix for a Nespresso or even a kettle in each room surely. Our bedroom tv whilst being plentiful in choices to watch, only went to volume 40 which was at best a whisper, so very hard to watch anything. Tv mirroring in the bath was great. No volume troubles on that one.

Lovely oasis in busy Gion. Would go back!
Pros:

Room was large with a sitting area. Bathroom was fantastic. Great high quality amenities. Lobby tea area was lovely. Staff was very helpful and accommodating with our very late check in. Great location on a quiet street in Gion’s busy district. Would go back!

Cons:

Not a deal breaker at all but there the windows don’t look out to anything. Lighting in the room made up for if.
