Friendly staff, kettle in room, warm.
We stayed at Asia Mountains Hotel for seven nights in total when arriving and leaving Kyrgyzstan. When we visited there were minor access problems and a little noise from major roadworks on the nearby road but that would be temporary. The adjacent railway line was more noticeable when the occasional train passed by. However overall the location would be fairly quiet and is convenient to amenities. The city centre attractions are a short walk away.
We stayed in the main building as well as the more modern annex with better rooms. There was no kettle in the rooms but drinks facilities were available all the time in the dining room. Breakfasts were buffet style and all fresh with a range of hot and cold food. Compared to other Kyrgyzstan accommodation during our three week trip, the standard was average but made up for by the attentive and considerate kitchen staff. They put themselves out to cater for a vegetarian, gluten free diet. The reception staff spoke some English and were helpful when asked.
A big plus is the swimming pool which was very welcome on the hot days. After visiting the city centre, it was great cooling off there with a swim and just relaxing by the pool. There is lovely garden too with and several sheltered spots to sit.
Overall we had a nice stay and can recommend this hotel.
It’s very inconvenient to get to the property because of all the construction.
Lovely garden and setting; friendly, helpful, attentive staff; nice breakfast; clean and well supplied room with good amount of closet and draws with hangers. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom are loose. Two of the three lights in the bathroom were burned out.
Is seyahatimdi.Temizlik ve komfor olarak beni tatmin etti.Ozellikle resepsiyon calisanlari ilgiliydi.Tekrar gidecek olsam ayni oteli tercih edebilirim
Reasonable 2/3 star hotel down the end of a rough road.
Close to the railway line so noisy on times.
Bedroom and bathroom were perfectly adequate for this standard of hotel although slightly noisy if close to the stairs.
Breakfast was fine.
Staff have a good standard of English and helpful.
The location is good. The interior and gardens are characterful and cosy. There is a swimming pool of a good standard and the breakfast (usually included) is what you'd require for adequate satisfaction. The staff were also friendly enough. 4/5* as the desk outlet in my room was broken, the booking advertised a large double bed with a kettle in the room, when there was no kettle and the double bed was small, and the shower curtain was filthy. Aside from that, everything was fine. I appreciated the addition of a bath, and the decor was to my taste. There was also AC and a hairdryer. 4/5*.
Asia Mountains felt like our little home during our stay in Kyrgyzstan. The family room was clean and spacious with two separate bedrooms.
The staff was the highlight -- They are fantastic. Recently my wife and I came down with a stomach bug and at midnight Doran who was on night shift voluntarily ran to a pharmacy to get us some medicine. This was reflective of the quality and helpfulness of the staff through out trip. Thanks Hotel Asia Mountains!
Very good hotel and staff, the are very accommodating, it’s very close to all attractions in the city, Hotel is safe to stay, I think they need some investment on the small road to the hotel entrance.
My family of 4 had a wonderful experience at the hotel. We had 2 luggage delayed at the Almaty airport. Filled with anxiety, we were very happy with the assuring and professional help rendered by its Manager, Jenny. She assisted to liaise with the airport staff from Almaty to Bishek. Much to our relief, we received our delayed luggage on the 2nd night, just in time for our departure to the next hotel the next morning.
Our driver and guide were awesome too. Very hospitable and attentive to our needs. Particularly, our guide who was very knowledgeable and patient. He connected us with Jenny to ensure our luggage come back to us.
Much to our delight, the hotel gifted the family with a special gift of Kyrgyz Felt stuffed with Kyrgyz souvenirs.
Overall, pleasant and wonderful experience.
This was one of my favourite hotels on the tour, a bit quirky but very comfortable. Lovely bedroom with comfy bed and power shower, nice and quiet too apart from the odd freight train. Good variety for breakfast. The garden is amazing with lots of nooks and crannies; just wish we had had more time to spend an evening chilling in the garden with a cool beer! Only a few minutes from the main streets and restaurants.
This is a hidden gem of a hotel in a dodgy looking back street near the central area. it is right next to the train line (one or two trains an hour) but is otherwise lovely and peaceful with beautiful gardens. There is a small pool which is good to cool off on a hot day. Breakfasts were good, staff friendly and rooms simple but clean. Wifi worked fine when I was there
This was a lovely, tranquil oasis in the city. Beautiful gardens, a lovely pool, nice breakfast/reception area, lovely helpful staff. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, good bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Strong wifi.
As others have said, it's not the most central. But unless you have any kind of issue with a gentle stroll, everything is within an easy 10 minutes walk. I think it's worth it.
Stayed here as part of a group tour and was very happy. I can see the hotel being difficult to find and it is a bit far away from central Bishkek, where most of the attractions and restaurants are. However, rooms are big and clean. The pool was very welcome and the staff are very friendly. Had a good stay here.
The first impression on this hotel location was not positive. However, after installed, we went for a walk and even considering nearby streets are with poor illumination, it was a good opportunity to get a better view on local life. The hotel is a little outdated but with lots of material on speleology and historic references from “old times”. Good service and nice swimming pool. Wi-fi is not the best one. Enjoy Bishkek!!
We had a good sized room on the upper floor (no lifts). The air con was fine in the room but the bathroom was boiling (great for drying stuff).
The shower was good unless everyone else was using it as when we arrived at that point it goes hot and cold when the pump tries to cope.
Nice pool, if a little cold.
Couldnt get cold water out of the tap for brushing the teeth
If you want to get a taxi make sure you have a hotel card as no one knows where it is.
Good wi fi
The hotel is down a back alley and difficult to find, but helpful staff, clean rooms, and fine breakfast. Rooms differ in size ours was a bit small. Nice gardens and pool area at the back although it was too cold for us.
Great little hotel like a large house set about 30 minutes walk from Bishkek centre.
Super warm and cosy rooms with air con, good bathrooms and comfy beds. Safe, TV (no English channels) and fridge. My room suffered from noise due to the railway line at the front of the hotel.
Good buffet breakfast and tea or coffee on tap downstairs.
Decent WiFi.
Outdoor pool and lovely gardens well tended for.
Friendly helpful staff
This hotel is small but with beautiful garden and swimming pool. It is slightly out from centre of Bishkek and quite near to a railway line although fortunately we heard very few trains. The reception staff were very friendly and the room was large and clean. Beds OK but not that comfortable. The main disappointment was the buffet breakfast. There was a fair selection of food but it had presumably all been laid out some hours before because everything was cold. Plate of cold fried eggs, plate of cold French toast, dish of cold porridge, etc. On the second morning the bread had obviously not been replaced from the previous morning. There were no staff around other than ladies in the kitchen . There was a sign indicating that omelettes were available on request but on both mornings when my husband tried to order one, one of the ladies just pointed to the plate of cold fried eggs. Disappointing.
This guesthouse is a superb way to start and end a tour of Kyrgyzstan. The staff are super-friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean, and within easy walking distance of Central Bishkek. It is surrounded by a lush garden, complete with a swimming pool. Great breakfast buffet spread too! I have seen some people complaining about the noise of trains (there’s a railway track opposite), but with just a handful of trains per day, it’s hardly Clapham Junction!
