The smell and the overall lack of maintenence. Hole in the wall. Bathroom could use a deep clean to get rid of mildew, etc.

I can’t recommend this location
Pros:

Room was clean. Location was good and close to the highway. Staff was nice.

Cons:

Weird, funky, smells everywhere in building. Facility clearly in need of serious updating. Breakfast was limited and did not look very inviting. Coffee was really bad.

Do not stay here!

The bed and pillows were comfortable

Cons:

There was a hole in the wall. The bathroom was not very clean. There was no fire detector in the room. The walls were super thin which made for a loud night. I stayed the first night and asked for a refund for the second night but did not hear back from the staff. People were smoking marijuana in their rooms which caused the floor were were on smell like weed and my asthma flared up because of it.

Didnt allow service animals
Pros:

We booked 3 days with 2 service dogs. I am disable and recently had a stroke 3 weeks prior. Everything was GRREAT until we tried to check in. We were told that they had to see the dogs. Once they saw the dogs the manager phoned the front desk and said they COULD NOT accommodate us. SO after driving hours to Terre Haute,we had to find another hotel. We will NEVER book or try to book there EVER AGAIN!!!! I plan on reporting Sleep Inn in Terre Haute to the BBB and ADA.

Good luck getting your room serviced. Had to ask for towels for night stay. Room was never cleaned even after talking to staff at the front desk.

Great Value & Good Experience
Pros:

The room was very clean upon arrival. To my surprise, it was quiet and there was not a lot of echoing in the hallway. I could hear the occasional traffic, but that is expected being right off a busy road. The front desk was prompt during check in and check out and breakfast was good.

Cons:

There was a lot of lingering weed smell in the hall, elevator and outside. The elevator was also a bit small and loud with a lingering weed smell, but overall it was still clean. We had a laundry shoot outside of our room that was left open, which was fine since my child was older, but any younger wouldn't have hesitated to take a look down it.
