The rooms weren't up to Novatel standard.
Pros:

The reception/foyer area was tastfully decorated.

Cons:

The rooms were not up to expectations and are desperately in need of an update. The carpet was old and shabby with burn marks.

Good location but low budget, in major need of a revamp. Fine for somewhere to sleep overnight.
Pros:

Friendly staff. Lovely foyer with all the greenery. Great location. Pool was a hit with our 5 year old.

Cons:

Very very dated hotel. Low budget. Very expensive for how run down it is. The foyer is nice however the rooms are very very overdue for a redo!

A 6-hour water outage made it impossible to:
Use the toilet and maintain basic hygiene
Shower, wash hands, brush teeth
Use basic in-room facilities

For a 4-star Novotel CBD property, this is unacceptable and the room was not fit for its intended purpose
