Never again will I use an Accor property.
Pros:

Nothing, I have been an Accor user for decades and this was the worst property I have ever stayed in.

Cons:

The room, junior suite, was like a secondhand backpackers. Old soap in the bathroom, a window the size of a small box that looked out on to a tin roof, you were expected to make your own bed, cockroaches, no laundry service, the breakfast buffet was inedible, staff would ignore you from the back office whist you stood at the front desk.

A mixed experience
Pros:

Location was good, on the Esplanade and close to main part of town. The central atrium gives a pleasant tropical feel to the hotel. Front desk staff were friendly and competent. The guest laundry was welcome though quite expensive to use. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was OK but lacked some standard offerings like muesli and grain bread. On a positive note the hotel tries to be environmentally responsible (no single serve packs of spreads for example) but the communal jars of jam looked rather "tired" - smaller containers that are replaced more frequently would look more appealing.

Cons:

We were in an unrenovated room. The room was a good size but the carpet was dirty. There was no opening window and the air conditioner was very noisy, cutting in and out every 3 minutes. Adjusting the settings helped make it a little quieter but it was very annoying and made sleeping difficult at times. We could not get into our room on the day we arrived until after 4 pm. We were given a complementary drink at the bar in compensation but we felt the non-availability of access so late in the day was unacceptable. Daily room cleaning was also very late and fairly sketchy - rooms often not cleaned until 3pm during our stay.
