We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Plano, TX - worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I have traveled extensively for work and pleasure. The wall paper was coming off and paint was chipped. I requested daily room service and only 1 day of stay did I get towels and the trash emptied. I was yelled at by housekeeping when I tried to get towels and the front desk did not have towels. I often had to wait for someone at the front desk when needed. I finally brought my own towels and made the bed. Many nights the room key did not work and when we went to the front desk to get another key, they did not request identification first. On day 10 we went back to the room around 10 PM and the room key did not work and someone else was in the room. our belongings had been thrown in plastic bags and sitting at the front desk. I had my toothbrush thrown with dirty clothes and electronics thrown with wet towels. I am still missing some clothes. We were told we did not have a reservation for that night. We checked our records online and we had extended the room and it was paid for. The manager will not refund our money for that night and the next night because he said we had a reservation. No apology, no refund. and still missing clothes. I would rate -10 on a scale of 1 to 10.
I wish I could give zero stars, but one was the lowest option. My stay at this Comfort Inn was hands-down the worst hotel experience of my life. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this place is falling apart and dangerously neglected.
The entire building is riddled with severe water damage and black mold everywhere you look – walls, ceilings, carpets, you name it. And it's not just a spot or two here or there; it's spread throughout the entire building.
Getting around was a joke. They have two elevators, but only one "works" – and by works, I mean it breaks down half the time, leaving you stranded or forced to take the stairs with all your luggage. Don't count on reliability here.
The manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful.
None of the exterior door key card locks function, so the only way in or out is through the front entrance. Even with a room key, you're locked out of side doors.
Not to mention, there are no exterior lights whatsoever. At night, you're fumbling around outside the building in pitch-black darkness, which feels extremely unsafe.
To top it off, the parking lot and surroundings are constantly filled with homeless people, many of whom were apparently paying guests unjustly evicted by the manager with no warning or refund.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel at all costs. It's uncomfortable, hazardous and poorly managed. Stay anywhere else!!
This isn’t a safe hotel, with people loitering around, unsecured front lobby doors, and no parking lot lights. Subjects walking in and out of the front lobby entrance. And allowing children to drive electric cars in lobby and the parking lot.
Bathroom not clean. Tub had hair in it.
Terrible customer service
Mold on the celling
Dirty room
Leaking fauset
One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever been to. No lights in parking making feel like I would get mugged or robbed. Inside of the hotel it looks as if they have never did any touch ups since being opened walls and floors were coming up hotel smelled like weed throughout the halls and once we finally got to our room the tv was broke so he moved us but the options were go to a room that smelled like cigarettes or to a room where the water pressure would make the shower head come off.. so throughout this whole process I would say they need to close down and renovate as well as put some damn lights outside in the parking lot!!!
Very clean
The girl working the counter was the rudest person I've ever encountered at a hotel. Her attitude was 'Why are you here' I felt like I was not only a burden but like I was definitely not a welcomed guest. I will NEVER!!!!! Return here. The halls were filthy. This place is NOT REMIDELED as the website claims.
The overall condition of the property and the rooms were poor along with the breakfast. They have seriously let that place go downhill and I’ll not be booking anymore stays after this weekend.
Great
No Business Center - only a small room without a printer or computer to print travel documents. No real wifi- 10mbps down, 10mbps down. No blow dryer. No lights on at the entrance at night.
They left the front door open with access to the stairs. Anyone could walk in. There was a leak so they tried to dry the water with Texas heat. Mold every and in our shower. Bugs killed and stuck to the wall. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at!!!!! 0/10000000!!!!!!!
Toilet handle broken, elevator not working, and fire alarm out of ceiling.
Do NOT stay here. All 5 star reviews were clearly written by or paid for by Manager to offset the 0/5 star reviews. Front desk always unattended, elevator broken (Because they can’t afford to fix it, not bc of “renovation/modernization”), Smells of marijuana, Mold in bathroom, Door didn't lock, No water, Disgusting stained linens, No lightbulb in lamp, Hot and humid 24/7, Smoke alarm was detached, Fire alarm went off at 3am due to guests smoking, random people going through side doors and hanging out in parking lot . Overall deplorable and should be shut down . Don’t trust the “Great” reviews. Couldn’t cancel my reservation and didn’t feel safe staying with my family for even one night .
They do not allow 3rd party refunds. Be prepared when you cant sleep at night when a random person tries to enter your room at 3 am. The elevator is out. The floors were soaked...Management didnt care and let me check out early with no partial refund. If thats what it take to fix the building than take it.... Expedia is trying to give me a 25$ gift card... why would I book through this if the hotel won't honor a proper cancellation.
It was a week of tennis camp at UTD.
Perfect place/location.
Elevator was down for a couple of days.
This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in!! No one came to clean my room during my entire 8 days. On the 3rd day with no one cleaning my room, I spoke directly with the maid, who was 2 doors away from my room, and I told her my room number & she promised to clean it. When I returned late in the evening to find the room hadn’t been touched, I called the manager & explained my situation & he said he couldn’t promise anything, they were short staffed. I told him I should be at the top of the list since no one had cleaned my room. He said he couldn’t promise anything. For the remainder of my stay, I had to get my own set of towels, toilet paper etc. Each night when I returned. There was trash left by the elevator that wasn’t picked up for 2 days, the stairways were always dirty, with trash on the stairs. The elevator broke on the 2nd day I arrived & wasn’t fixed the entire time I was there. Anytime I asked for something like: having my room cleaned or when is the elevator going to be fixed, I would get the same reply: “We are short staffed.” One night, as I was walking from the stairway to my room, it looked like there was dog poop in the hallway.
All of the things in the room looked like they were falling apart. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in & will never stay in a “Comfort Inn” again. Stay anywhere but here!!!!!
Good location. Hotel elevator was out and AC took 1 hr to cool tghe hot room.
Hotel is falling apart. Save your time and money. Moldy walls and active dripping all over lobby and hallways. Rooms have non working fire alarms. That’s a city violation!!
This was the worse hotel in my life! The person up front was nice I believe Trey he came and got the big bug that was flying in the room. Minutes later another one appeared frm under the bed. I fear bugs so much. I cld not stay and left at midnight and had to search for another hotel. Did not stay the 1st or 2nd night. Tub was nasty old. The smell was pet smell. The entrance had wholes in the ceiling. I demand my money all returned.
