Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lenox

Our non smoking room smelled like smoke. When I plugged in my charger, sparks flew from the outlet. There was a badly patched hole in the bathroom door and the baseboard in the bathroom had chunks missing. There was no decaf available for breakfast and that area was dingy. Surprised that Wyndham is associated with this property.

If I could give this establishment a minus star I would.

Please don't fall for the low pricing. There is a reason for that. Do yourself a favor and look around for a different place to stay which is what my daughter and I ended up doing. Please believe me, there are plenty of other much nicer places around the area where you will receive a clean room and good hospitality service.

I booked a non-smoking room with two queen beds for one night. As soon as we checked in and opened the door to the room all we could smell was the very strong stale smell of cigarettes. When I went to the office he offered to show me another room which had one bed. I told him I had booked a two queen size bed room.
He was obviously not happy about this and showed me to a third room.
We stayed there for maybe 10 minutes before deciding not to stay there at all.

When I went back to the office to let them know we weren't staying he got visibly angry and when I inquired about a possible partial refund he became true aggressive and confrontation. He started yelling at me and treated me so badly that all I could do was leave the cards and walk out.

I have stayed in many places and have never had this kind of awful experience before. Please safe yourselves time and money and avoid this place and unlike me, please read the reviews before you book a room.

Towels were flimsy and small, breakfast room tiny, choices small

No cameras

The previous guest left a soap wrapper on top of the shower it was missed by the cleaning crew

Not enough shelving in bathroom for your stuff, not much of a continental breakfast

The curtain did not fully close so light shone in.

Room was shabby, smelly (heavy use of air fresheners) uneven flooring near door, ancient microwave and coffee maker, lumpy bed, old and loud air conditioner, tiny old bathroom, room faced busy highway, breakfast offerings minuscule and not very healthy. Cost was way over what the product was worth.

The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Coffee in lobby was weak. The room had an old feeling to it.
