Great property but very disappointed we were not informed ahead of time about the renovations going on while we were there. They were very disruptive, very inconvenient and not up to standard when your paying 500.00 a night to stay there.

I’ve stayed here many times, but it’s seeming to be over priced now for what you receive. And for some reason this last trip was less than satisfactory.

Staff was not friendly. We had asked for a late check out, was told we had one, but was never put into system. Front desk unfriendly at every encounter. Rooms nice, but hotel feels a bit dated. Feel it is a 4-star hotel, not 5 stars.

The hotel is very pretty and luxurious, but the setting in the beautiful town of Birmingham adds to the charm. There sweet little restaurants, and intimate dinning places, and nice ships around this place.
