Pros:

Good, but room for improvement. Not quite up to 5 star quality.
Pros:

On the whole, my room on the 15th floor was very nice and comfortable. It had been recently refurbished.
There was a good view over the Raffles Hotel.

The Pool was nice, although being on a low floor with high buildings beside it, it lost the sun just at the time we got back to the hotel for a swim

Cons:

On check-in I was told my room number and pointed to 'over there' to get the lift. The lift was a long way from reception with the doors around the other side of a wall, not visible and no signage. There was no-one near that side of the hotel to ask. My room was the furthest room away from the lift so I had a loooong way to walk to and from my room.

There was a dirty smudge on the wall outside my bathroom, which was there from when I arrived and was not cleaned off during my stay.

We had asked for rooms near each other, but my friend's room was on the other side of the hotel. They couldn't have been further apart!

I expected more from this hotel but it just felt like a normal 3 star hotel.
Cons:

They couldnt have my room prepared by 3pm and i got my room at 4 pm, but staff did gave complimentary breakfast but then it surprises me how they could miss the 3 pm check in time .

I ordered fried rice for in room dining and for the price I paid, it tasted bad and there was a egg shell in it.

Fantastic hotel - would return
Pros:

Impressive rooms, large and spacious. Great outdoor pool with lovely bar, downstairs bar and breakfast was brilliant.

Cons:

Our welcome at reception wasn’t great after a 14 hour flight. It was clearly busy with queues checking in, and the staff member sighed as we approached the desk as though she was fed up. She abruptly asked for our details, passports etc and handed us our room key providing no details about the hotel or breakfast or anything, so were left to figure this out. Other than this, the perfect stay.

Leider hat unser Aufenthalt nicht ganz unseren Erwartungen entsprochen. Ich wurde noch nie an einer Rezeption so kühl empfangen. Den Mitarbeitern fiel es teilweise sehr schwer, auch nur ein Lächeln zu zeigen, was leider keinen sehr gastfreundlichen ersten Eindruck hinterlassen hat.

​Zu den Zimmern und der Ausstattung:

Die Zimmer selbst sind zwar schön großzügig geschnitten, wiesen jedoch einen leicht modrigen Geruch auf. Ein wichtiger Sicherheitshinweis betrifft den Aufzug: Die Fahrstuhltür schließt extrem schnell – hier muss man wirklich sehr aufpassen, um nicht eingequetscht zu werden.

​Kulinarik:
Das Frühstück war absolut okay. Es war für jeden etwas dabei und bot eine solide Auswahl.

​Fazit: Mit etwas mehr Herzlichkeit im Service und etwas Aufmerksamkeit für die Details könnte der Aufenthalt deutlich angenehmer sein.
