Staff excellent; amenities and complimentary snacks a bonus.
Pros:

Good location; private; not a busy business hotel. The staff remembered us and greeted us by name. It felt like a family. Breakfast was not located in a lobby full of people.

Cons:

Parking very expensive.

Excellent atmosphere and superb hospitality.
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Lancaster Hotel! The staff was incredible and you could tell hospitality is taken seriously! Loved every minute of our stay. We went to the Symphony and couldn’t have had a better location to stay as it is right across the street from the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was amazing and we went there after the symphony and enjoyed the delicious bread pudding and truffle fries.

Great hotel and customer service is a top priority for them!!!
Pros:

The service, staff, restaurant, breakfast and location (if you’re going to see a show in the theatre district) is top notch…..you’re LITERALLY minutes/seconds away (walking) from ALL the theatres!!!!

Cons:

The room was a little small….but for just a couple of nights stay (when you won’t be spending a lot of time in the room anyway) it was perfect!!!! It was very nice, very clean and had complimentary drinks and snacks!!!!! I would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay there again!!!!

Our stay was just what we needed
Pros:

Loved everything about it, Everyone was kind and eager to help. They upgraded our room and gave us a complementary bottle of champagne for our celebration. Everyone was wonderful

Pros:

The property is beautiful, but I was charged twice for over night valet parking that I didn’t do! I explained it over the phone many times, they refused to refund until I had to come directly to the reception 2 days after my stay. I wasn’t even offered any apology. And this used to be my favourite hotel in Houston!

Wonderful In Every Way!
Pros:

With our first stay at The Lancaster, it has established itself to be amongst the finest boutique hotels that we have ever experienced – and we are so pleased that it is in the city we live!
We decided to have a New Year’s “staycation”, and The Lancaster is so centrally located for walking to nearby restaurants, public buildings, taverns/lounges/bars and other sites in the downtown area. We did not dine at the hotel’s restaurant (we have previously stopped in after a nearby performance and can vouch that the food is excellent) but did enjoy the bar.
Our upper floor, corner room was super comfortable, clean and quiet. The complimentary mini bar was a real treat, stocked with non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. The bed was a delight! And the shower was very powerful, with seemingly endless hot water. Breakfast (also complimentary) had ample choices to get your day off to a good start.
The service was wonderful! From the front door with Omar, Sam, and Hamid: to reception with Kevin (who we interacted with many times during our stay) and Kaylee; and to Amy & Dylan at the bar – everyone was so hospitable and engaged to ensure that we had a pleasant and memorable stay.
