We were there because of a bad ice storm. I had an appointment at Chalmers Hospital the next day, and I didn't want to travel from Woodstock in the storm. Everything was perfect, breakfast, the bed was comfortable, and the room was adequate for our needs.
The bar closes early.
We really enjoyed the big room with the hot tub. The breakfast was decent.
When we arrived, the heater for the room was set to "auto cool" at 50 degrees Fahrenheit. It was -10 outside so the room was very cold. It took us a little over two hours to heat it up to a comfortable temperature. The room was also infested with little balck flies, at least three or four of them.
Pas grand chose...

Breakfast was not bad
At check-in, we were told that our room had been upgraded from two double beds to two queen-size beds. However, when we entered the room, all the furniture was old and worn out.
All the electrical appliances were unplugged, so we had to look for the appropriate cords and plug everything in ourselves. There was a strong draft coming from under the door, which made the floor freezing cold.
The building itself is old, and the hallways also smell musty and outdated. The mattresses and bedding are synthetic and cheap, and it was uncomfortable to sleep.
Considering that the price is not among the cheapest, this was very disappointing. I definitely do not recommend this place.
The stay was very pleasant and budget friendly. The breakfast was really good. Also, the room was neat and clean.
The only downside I felt was their policy on cancellation due to inclement weather.
We were traveling from Montreal with young children. Almost one hour into our journey, we were caught in a pretty bad winter storm. As it was too risky to drive in those conditions, I called them to ask for the possibility of a cancellation so that we could book a stay in Quebec city to escape the storm. However, the staff told me that they don't have a policy to do so and I will lose the whole money if I cancel ( we booked through booking.com and it is up to the hotel to make a decision). We ended up driving all the way to Fredricton in the extreme conditions and reached by around 10.00 pm.
The key cards to get through the hotel only worked half the time. The breakfast sausage was under cooked. The pool had a black ring around it and was very cold. The hot tub water was a yellow brown like kids went to the bathroom in it, and unable to see the bottom of it. Yet it remained open. I should have called the board of health!!!
