We enjoyed our stay!
Pros:

We had a nice, clean room. The breakfast was really good!

Cons:

The only thing we didn’t like was the tv, it was slow to change channels and there wasn’t a menu to see what was on. But not that big of a deal

Thanks for Cancelling our reservation Hampton Inn. We DID NOT appreciate it!!!
Pros:

Early in December we booked a stay at the Hampton Inn in Grantville, PA. We were on the road early, ran into a snow storm and finally arrived at our destination for the night. What did we find when we arrived? Our reservation had been CANCELLED! After travelling for 12+ hours, we just needed to go to our room but due to an error when putting in the expiration date, the credit card didn't go through. The day staff called our HOME phone and EMAILED us to let us know that our reservation would be cancelled if we didn't get back to them by 2 o'clock. Calling our home phone isn't going to help and not everyone has wifi in their car to get an email. We didn't get their communication so we were greeted with the news that they were sold out and we could try for a room across the road at another hotel. The gal at the desk could only repeat the statement that there was nothing she could do. We had also booked for the following Friday so I asked to see if the card was correct for that date and she said it was. That is when we learned what exactly caused the error of having the wrong expiration date. We have been Hilton Honour Members for many years. We have been loyal to the brand. They certainly didn't show any loyalty to us. We have always showed up to all reservations made. We have never had any troubles previously so why is there not some way that the system could have been used to see what the trouble was in this situation? When I finally got the general manager's name and email, she said it was policy to do what they had done. At no time did we feel we were being heard as to how this impacted us and no mention of any compensation for what we had gone through. This Hampton Inn and the Hilton Honours program certainly did not have our back. Things need to change to make sure this doesn't happen to others in the future. I won't go into all the details of other frustrations during our dealings with this Hampton but I will say that Corporate needs to have a look at the training and lack of support for Hilton Honour members. We have no plans to stay at this hotel in the future. I feel being a Hilton Honour member should protect us from such a fiasco.

The property was very clean and all the staff was very pleasant.

Cons:

The parking wasn’t the best. Most are staying for Hershey so when we would get home late after the park like everyone else we had to park behind the building and walk to the doors. Fortunately the LL door was open but a little sketchy back there especially alone.

Very nice room, but some concerns
Pros:

Stayed here for 3 nights. Had one of the suites, which was a lovely room and setup. Enjoyed the fireplace. Front desk staff was nice. Breakfast was fine - typical Hampton Inn fare, but well maintained. First issue we encountered was that the TVs are a little wonky. No channel guide and the TV in one room has a different channel lineup than other room. Frustrating, but not a big deal. The other, more significant issue was there was no water on the last day. This went on for several hours, on and off. Also the juice machine was not working on the last morning - potentially connected to water issue, but no sign on the machine. People kept trying it, only to be told eventually that it wasn’t working. The hotel is being renovated so this may have contributed to the problems. I like the hotel and would probably stay here again but I hope they can fix these issues.

Exceptional Stay And Service! Clean Cozy Safe
Pros:

Elizabeth and Eric are front desk stars! Very professional and welcoming. On a cold, rainy afternoon Elizabeth makes you feel like you are coming into her home and she is happy to Have you. Eric is the perfect smiling morning person. He knows all and is so pleasant. My room was perfect. Clean and cozy. Great bed with super pillows. Everything was so relaxing. Breakfast was super too. Kept super clean as was pool area. Close to so many things yet wel kept grounds and safe. I remember when it was first built, still love that hotel. A true Hilton stay.
