Pros:

Excellent location. Walking distance to Flinders Street Station and Myer department store for our shopping. Lovely old building. We were very impressed with the large, comfortable room we slept in and the excellent breakfast. We only travelled half an hour on the train to get here but we might come again it was so much fun.

Cons:

A heated swimming pool would be nice but it is hard to fault what is on offer here.

Excellent hotel would definitely stay again
Pros:

Location is fantastic. Value for money. Hotel is very clean and nicely decorated, staff are friendly and accommodating. Bed was very comfortable and rooms so quiet.

Cons:

Shower was a little cosy but bathroom was clean and looked newly renovated. Some bottles of water in room would have been appreciated.

Cons:

Basically I booked a room for three people. The room had a twin bed only and the rolling bed wasn’t in the room when we checked in at 11pm.
Had to ask fir towels for the third person also.
The space was very limites for three people.
The next day the room wasn’t clean at 4pm.

Beautiful Melbourne
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Lovely elegant building with many quiet areas to sit and appreciate the history. Our package included breakfast, which included a wide variety of options.

Won’t be returning
Pros:

Nothing. It is very dated and there are much better hotels in the same location. Not enough elevators for the size of the hotel. Often at least one elevator isn’t working.

Cons:

It’s very noisy, right next to station. Not very clean. When we arrived our room hadn’t been cleaned for our arrival. In our room the bath was very stained and the extractor fan was covered in clumps of dust. Breakfast is mediocre very little fruit choices. Everywhere needs a good dust especially in the lift areas. Room cleaning just includes towel change nothing else. Not sure how the hotel has achieved 4* status.
