Parking out front was handy.
The place is really run down and it is really showing. The musty smell in the hallway and the rooms is hard to handle and makes me suspicious of mold.
Excellant location. Freindly staff.old hotel with lots of charm
Un peu bruyant car situé en plein centre-ville et attenant à un bar
Value for money, location, free secure parking. I love The Senator so much.
The view out my window was just ok. Room 121.
Super location. We went to a show at TCU Place & we could walk. Fantastic … no parking questions.
The elevator quit working during our stay. We were on the third floor so it was not convenient while moving in/out.
Location
Parking behind hotel is inadequate and small. We had to park on the street and pay for parking.
Beautiful common areas, lovely historic hotel close to everything. All in all a perfectly fine place to stay. Rooms are small but that is almost always the case in older hotels. Didn’t bother me.
Parking, while free and appreciated, was a bit of a situation. Happy to have free parking however.
Also, attention to detail in the maintenance of the rooms was lacking. Bathroom was very tired, worn tub with grungy caulking etc.
I like the location and the spacious room..
Although it seemed clean , it had an old smell to it. Did not like the tv situation - it was a Roku system and complicated for us ! Could not find anything live such as a soccer or mlb game, could not even get a news channel - it was quite frustrating. Also the elevator was not working. The worst part of our stay was the parking. The area they have fir parking is very small and two rows park back to back so if you want to utilize it, you must leave your keys at the front desk so they can move your car - if it’s blocking someone else- which we did, however at 7:30 am we got a call from the front desk to come down and move the car - because they did not have enough staff available to move it.
Overall, staff were pleasant , bed was comfortable, it was a neat old building and was nice to have a restaurant attached, location was good - but won’t stay there again, will pay a little more for something newer, even if it means paying for parking.
Bien situé dans le centre-ville.
Il y a beaucoup d'iitineransbo autour et on ne sait pas de quoi s'attendre avec eux mais toutes les portes sont verrouillées en tout temps
The location is historic and convenient by walking to other landmarks from the same era. I love the old architecture and marvel at the use of fine woods used, and the craftsmanship… using non- electric tools!
Parking is a little concerning because it’s rather limited, also the need to allow staff to shuffle our vehicle around is unusual. Having said that, we often/ generally are parked in the open at other motels/ hotels. The difference is the Hotel Senator is downtown. The other thing was the pub was much to loud that evening ( an entertainer), causing us to go around the corner to the pub on 2nd Ave… where thankfully had a much more reasonable sound level.
Very nice place, clean and comfortable.
A bit noisy with bar next door.
