I will never stay in Flagstaff, Arizona ever again.
Such a disappointing Embassy Suites. Hilton needs to remove this location from its brand. Pulling up to hotel, it looked newly painted but grounds were not kept up with what grass there was had not been mowed and primarily weeds. No bushes trimmed or outside area cleaned up. Check in process was lacking a lot of critical information. Room was very tired and worn out. Couch was old and saggy and thread bare. Wood furniture was abused and was past better days. Carpet was dirty around edges and hole in carpet behind door. Bathroom had missing caulking around walk in shower that was also very yellowed and stained. The faucet for the shower was at knee height. The ceiling above the shower is cracked and paint is pealing. Toilet was very low to the ground. Vanity and sink were super low and hard to use. We couldn’t turn either TV on as they both kept saying missing signal. Employee came in and couldn’t help with TV. Phone to front desk was never answered but would eventually disconnect. When my husband went down to front desk, another guest was complaining about their room and front desk clerk told us to press the up volume button to get TV to work. That did not fix the problem. I tried several buttons on remote and discovered the up channel button connected the tv signal so we then could watch tv. The heat did not work in the room as the front desk stated the boiler had been turned off for the season yet the low outside was 42 degrees. All around the worst embassy suites I’ve stayed in. This Embassy Suites was so disappointing. I will never go back.
Our bed comforter had hair on it and inside, in between the fitted sheet and outer sheet. My wife noticed at 11pm and at least the front desk was able to get us new sheets.
Breakfast was an embarrassment for an Embassy Suites. No omelette station - so no made to order breakfast “due to staffing issues” and the remaining fare was the same found at a motel 6. Styrofoam plates also signal that the operator is phoning it in.
The room is well worn. Looks like a hard life here in Flagstaff. Carpet looked/felt dirty. Furniture missing finish. All upholstered surfaces were stained.
Don’t pay extra for this place thinking you’ll get a nice complementary breakfast for your family. Choose a newer or renovated and cleaner property with properly executed brand standard service.
Location
There are a number of issues that we experienced, from a dilapidated room, to questionable breakfast or lack of breakfast, to staff
I normally read all reviews prior to making a booking, however having stayed here two years ago I didn’t feel the need, boy did I make a mistake. Note to self: always read Tripadvisor before committing to a reservation. Others have written extensive evaluations of Embassy Suites Flagstaff. Read all the reviews and decide for yourself.
The positives: true two room suites, our room facing the courtyard was quiet. Check -in was courteous, and we were thanked for being Diamond members and given a complementary bag with slippers, water, delicious chips and sample size toiletries.
The things that management/owners should evaluate: mattress on the bed and pullout couch were lumpy, furniture throughout the property required repair and replacement, chipped wood, stained rugs and upholstery, “made to order breakfast” was not available due to “unforeseen circumstances“ a rude note was placed on the buffet table, “ breakfast begins at 7 AM, don’t touch before 7 AM“ now, this might be OK except the buffet actually wasn’t ready until after seven.
If you choose this hotel enjoy your stay, knowing the benefits and shortfalls.
We have been fans of Embassy Suites for over 30 years. I enjoy having breakfast with my eggs cooked “over-easy.” You can’t do this at any Hampton Inn.
We found the shower pressure and the evening Happy Hour to be our highlights. The room is your standard two room Embassy Suites. My wife did complain that her backached the following morning. In our 16-day Wild West Tour the shower pressure was the best at this Embassy.
In the living room, there was a noticeable stain on the couch. Isn't there cleaning fluids to get these stains out?
We enjoyed the nightly “Happy Hour.” The woman bartender is quite nice with a smile. We also enjoyed the various items on the food try. The fresh Strawberries was a big hit. We enjoyed meeting other traveling guests.
What we didn’t like was the attitude of the front desk. It seemed like we were a disturbance to the young man in attendance. It did take forever to get our room.
We did notice a majority of the personnel at this Embassy Suites are rather “unhappy.”
There is a center courtyard that needs to be tended to. Broken trees and no garden whatsoever. This center courtyard needs to be beautified. It is indeed a highlight of the complex.
We also found that this Embassy is a good distance from historic downtown.
My last “beef” with this Embassy is that there were “no eggs” to cook over-easy eggs! Having eggs cooked “over-easy” would be my only request. All it takes is concerned management, or mismanagement in this case.
We would NOT recommend this hotel.

I was at a work meeting and left early but told my twin daughters to go and have breakfast.
My daughters were being harassed by a much older man who shouldn't have been near them. They were eating breakfast and he was hitting on my daughter who is a young adult but she said he was bothering her. They left because she felt uncomfortable. It was cold in Flagstaff and the heater was not on and the room was cold.
Locations was easy to find
Looks old and runner down unlike other Embassy Suites properties I have been to. The hallway carpet needs to be replaced. Looks dated and dirty. Room door paint was chipped and scratch throughout my hallway. Property inside needs more plants to creat an inviting feel.
Two bedrooms
Two bath rooms
Where do I begin...the suite contained a broken down couch complete with large tears in cushions and stuffing coming out.
(Photos available). The luggage rack was broken and it took three calls and five hours to get it replaced after we took the broken one to the desk. We requested a sheet to cover the couch with...it took over three hours and we had to go get it ourselves. The bed was so outdated and uncomfortable that after our six days there, we were so sore we could barely get out of bed. It was a miserable stay and had this not been a pre-paid situation, we would have moved. The breakfast was lacking in variety. Same every day...maybe going from bacon to sausage. Only milk was 1% or almond. Yogurt was strawberry and strawberry/banana....every day. The upside was the omelet stand. Made to order. The side entrance trash can was overflowing with trash all around for 3 days (photo). The lobby was cute, employees nice. Happy hour was nice except there were a few oversized chairs that were great if you were one of the first six there. No silverware and the only plastic ware was the flimsy, white. Can barely spread jelly. I could go on and on. In my 75 years, this is my very worst experience. You expect some issues now and then, but not every think. I didn't mind the rooms were dated, but the carpet was so old and filthy the bottom of our slippers are nasty. The baseboard/tile base tops in the bathroom haven't been cleaned/dusted in years. The heating/air unit didn't work properly. The bedroom was always hot. I will stop now, but needless to say, I would never recommend this hotel.
Amazing breakfast, excellent spacious room with all amenities! Thank you!
Very outdated, worn and needs a renovation. Upon arrival their key system didn’t work, had to be escorted to our room by the front desk person. Finally able to get room keys later in the day. The rooms have seen better days and hopefully Hilton has plans to renovate them. Only good thing is it’s close to downtown Flagstaff and the location is close to restaurants and shopping.
I didn't get a confirmation of my reservation and haven't get an invoice for my lodging.
We checked in late, and our room was ready upon arrival, which made for a smooth start to our stay. Parking was easy and free, with plenty of spaces available around the building. The hotel is conveniently located near food and gas options, and we were able to walk to the downtown shopping area.
The breakfast was a highlight of our stay. It included made-to-order omelets along with a full selection of traditional breakfast options, all of which were well done.
The reception and breakfast
Air conditioner was broken and didn't work. Told front desk and they didn't do anything about it. Fridge was lop sided due to missing leg. Curtains were broken and didn't close properly
Having complimentary drinks and the breakfasts are great.
The rooms are so run down. Furniture is so worn out, carpet needs replacing. Just not welcoming.
