Excellent location and even better value for money
Pros:

I honestly wasn't expecting much which is usual for me as I tend to go for cheapest option because I'm only using it for a bed but I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the hotel was and the quality of the bed was amazing

Had email to confirm we had rooms booked on 2nd floor (Donna) On arrival, no rooms ready (ok it was early so not a problem) but my friend could not attend because of illness. I was eventually given a room on the 3rd floor. They would not transfer the breakfast paid for by my friend to my other friend who had booked a room with no breakfast, no big deal but it's these little things that matter.
Room was OK, small but adequate for one night. Shower was disappointing, controls difficult and water pressure could have been better. Plastic curtain in this day and age!
Breakfast - not a busy restaurant but lack of staff. Had to go and find someone to empty the coffee machine and luckily he was about so I ordered some porridge and poached eggs. This service was top class.
Choice of food was the standard stuff as a buffet 'help yourself', but not as full a choice as other hotels. Bacon was dry and the sausages were poor quality, didn't try anything else with my poached eggs, but my friend was happy with his breakfast.
Other friends who had stayed at nearby hotels, which were a lot cheaper were happy with their accommodation, so maybe we chose wrong.

This is a very basic hotel.
