Excellent city centre hotel
Pros:

In city centre, staff were weloming and cheerful. Gave us a complimentary bottle of prosecco as it was my birthday. Rooms spotless, bed comfy. All in all would recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely couple of days in a comfortable, friendly hotel at a great price.
Pros:

The location to the train station was excellent, only a short walk to the main centre, the Cathedral and of course Wetherspoons was just around the corner! The room was perfect for us, we only need a base to sleep and wash so wasn't expecting anything superior for the price we paid. Having said that we were pleasantly surprised, the room was immaculately clean, huge bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom likewise if a little old fashioned, but cleanliness is more important to us than the style. The bar area was lovely and quiet, the breakfast was great, especially for the price. All the staff were lovely and helpful.

Cons:

I can't honestly say there was anything wrong with the hotel, service or food. If I had to say anything I would say the view wasn't great and the windows could do with replacing but obviously this would be very expensive to do (there was secondary double glazing which meant it was warm and quiet) and we just kept the curtains closed as we were only there to sleep, not look out of the windows!

A very convenient and reliable place to stay, thank you.
Pros:

As always, the staff were very helpful and the room was lovely and clean. Very handy to
to have a lift available, and the hotel location hear the station was ideal.

Cons:

Having slightly limited mobility, the room arrangement with a double bed next to the wall wasn’t ideal for us, but next time we will check beforehand to ensure the room layout is suitable.

Pros:

You will love this hotel, 1 minute from the train station, close to pubs, restaurants and taxi rank, for the racing, could not ask for anything more.
The Italian restaurant 5 minutes walk from the hotel is great, don't go to the Chinese all the road very poor.
The Griffin pub next door good food also
