It was nice and comfortable. The bed was amazing I slept like a baby.
The only thing which was a bit disturbing was upon arrival they had a convention going on and the lobby looked a mess. It seems like it was their home. I thought it could have been manage better due to they were not the only guess in that hotel. We left and came back late and the front area looked even worst than when we first checked in. Food and drinks all over the place. Honestly that was our only problem with our stay. This was minor but our key to the room gave us problems getting in from the beginning. When we came back from our night out we couldn’t get back in to the room and had to go back to the front desk to get a new key. It was a bit frustrating as I really had to go the toilet. The front desk told my partner that if you keep it next to car keys it stops it from

Booked this place for a quick overnight on the way to visit family for Thanksgiving, I didn't expect anything fancy but I did expect it to be a newly renovated Holiday Inn that would treat us well, with nearly 100 nights at IHG and Diamond status, which entitles us to upgrade when available per IHG program rules. Our experience worldwide is that we almost always get upgraded to the best available room or suite, with the exception of hotels that are sold out. And you don't have to be a genius to figure out hotel occupancy. You can check on the IHG app at any time to see available rooms.
When we arrived in the evening, no mention of any upgrade. So I prompted the agent, thinking she might have forgotten, and asked for one of the many available upgraded rooms, which would have been great traveling with a teenager- and which we were entitled to per IHG rules. The parking lot had only a couple of cars in it. There was nobody in the lobby. We never saw another soul on our floor. We were completely alone when we ate and checked out the next morning. The hotel was dead, probably no more that 1/3 to 50% occupancy at most.
Anyway the front desk agent, even acknowledging that there were many better rooms available as I showed he on the app, said that she was not allowed to give us an upgrade. I explained the IHG Diamond rules to her but she wouldn't budge. She claimed all upgrades had to be done by the manager before 10:00 am (which is nonsense as I know from staying at so many IHG hotels; the good ones upgrade you in advance without asking but all of them will upgrade you upon arrival if available) so I asked her to call the manager but she claimed that she tried and he wasn't available. So we got a standard room, which was on the small side and cheaply renovated, clearly an older motel type property. Bathroom in particular was cheaply redone and low end.
Breakfast the next morning was poor- AND TOTALLY EMPTY. I noticed a small tour group leave before us but after that there was literally not a soul there the whole time we were in the dining room. The food was bland, cold and undercooked. They oddly had some kimchi on offer (possibly for the tour group) and it did not taste fresh and both my wife and I experienced stomach problems later that day.
The area is industrial and under massive road construction. I went for a run and was dodging construction vehicles and workers. It is not a pleasant location, even for a stopover.
As we checked out, I mentioned to the agent the next morning (who didn't ask how our stay was but I told her anyway) that we had been refused an upgrade even though the hotel was clearly almost empty. She claimed there was nothing she could do about it and told me to e-mail the manager. I did so promptly and got a response claiming that, even though the hotel was clearly low occupancy and even though there were multiple suites and larger rooms showing available and bookable on the app (and even though their own front desk agent acknowledged that the upgraded rooms were available but said she just wasn't allowed to give us one!), the manager claimed that the upgrade wasn't available. In all our travel, when we run into a problem I always like to give a property a chance to make things right before posting any negative review- and I did but this one failed. All he needed to do was say yes, we're a new property, our staff is not trained or empowered properly or we don't quite know the IHG rules yet, maybe offer us some points or other gesture to make up for the service failure and violation of IHG program rules, and learn from it. Instead, he chose to dig in. People aren't stupid. If I could pick up my phone and book multiple suites and if I can see with my own eyes the property is nearly empty, saying otherwise just reflects poorly on the management and makes guests realize this is a property to avoid in the future.
So if you don't have IHG status or don't care about getting the benefits of the program, don't plan to eat breakfast, don't mind a cheaply updated and small room, and don't care about being in the middle of a construction zone, this place may work for you. For us, it was a mistake.

Nice bed, good shower pressure.
A bit run down, the bathtub and bathroom cabinetry/furnishings showed a lot of wear and tear.
