Great views of the bridge and harbour.
Located in a slightly strange part of town.
Location was great, as was the view from our harbour-facing room (we paid extra for that).
Comfy bed, quiet. It was a small room - 3 star European size. Okay cafes nearby for breakfast. Close to some good restaurants. Public transport close by.
The Booking.com site showed a breakfast room and daily time slot. No such thing. We were pointed to nearby cafes or told to use room service (motel like items). Floor of the very basic kitchenette was quite unstable - something wrong with the underlay. Shower door leaked water every time, no matter how we tried to prevent it. Some of the renovations were a bit shonky, and ALL the lights were very bright - no subtle lighting here.
Excellent views, great location and well priced.
Welcoming staff, great location, excellent value for money for the single night, and nicely appointed with lots of amenities.
Nothing. Everything was brilliant.
Staff were fantastic. The location is perfect and the facilities were solid. I will absolutely look to stay at the Macleay Hotel again when I next visit Sydney.
view of the harbour was fabulous
All good. Well done . We truly love our stay at macleay they upgraded our room so our view was spectacular
Good enough

The location was ideal for my trip, staff were very helpful and very clean

Hotel is clean, comfortable and the view from my room was spectacular
Nil
Needed a reasonable well located hotel with parking. MacLeavy ticks the boxes. It's not the ritz. But room size was good. Location was very convenient for city and eastern suburbs. Carpark was great. Room quite tired but very clean. Bathroom looks to have had an update Staff were all lovely. nice choice of cafes and restaurants around. For the price and location I couldn't be more satisfied
Location was very convenient and the view was amazing.
I could hear the lift making noises half the night - and that was while wearing ear plugs.
We liked that we could open the window and get some fresh air. Was close to the shops, staff were friendly.
We didn't like that there was a crane right outside our room and was noisy as well as the workers, there wasn't a microwave, you could see the dust and dirt in the room which was not good for my lung disease.
Cleanliness. Big credit to housekeeping.
We had a great view of the harbour (had to pay extra for that but it was worth it). Comfortable, clean room with openable windows so it was great to be able to let fresh air in. The kitchenette was small but very well equipped - more than adequate for eating breakfast and simple microwaveable fare. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Our only complaint is that the building itself was not well soundproofed from internal noise - the lifts going up and down, other guests' doors slamming, etc, were all very easily heard in our room even though we weren't right next to the lifts or foyer areas. I'm not sure what can be done about this, but perhaps the doors to the rooms could be made more soundproof?
