I can't say enough about this amazing hotel. It was awesome from the moment we checked in with Ethan on Saturday night, May 2nd. He was professional, warm and friendly. We were put in a corner room on the 5th floor (was our anniversary weekend). We had a beautiful view from two picture windows of the PAC and river....gorgeous. We loved the room......spacious but cozy with all the right touches....even the bathroom sinks had artwork. We did not go to the bar or restaurant.....the bar was "jumping" both nights.....very lively. When we checked out on Monday morning with Nacho, he was also helpful and friendly.
Also, on the 2nd night, had an issue with the tv and called the front desk and someone came up right away and fixed.
We left the hotel a couple of times to check out other things in the downtown area and had to pay for parking all those separate times so that was pricey.
Also, I had ordered roses and chocolates and champagne and they were waiting in the room when we checked in. They were fine but the clear vase the roses were in was foggy and dirty.........so made the presentation not up to par with everything else.
The property is truly lovely........................we will return!!
We were greeted with champagne at check-in. Our room was adorable. Loved playing records.
Nothing to report
Everything at the Saint Kate was fantastic, with a few exceptions. The reception area and staff were great upon arrival. The Hotel itself is located in a fantastic area, close to almost anything you would want to do in Milwaukee. The rooms were uniquely set up with big windows, a record player and a ukulele. The bar area was fun and lively. Given all those pluses, this review would have received 5 stars if it weren't for a few minor issues, and one major issue.
The minor issues: Our body wash container was empty in the shower and, even after reading the directions, I could not get sound through the speakers on the record player. Both, not a big deal.
The major issue: I utilized the valet service provided by the hotel and when the car was returned at the end of our stay, it was obvious that my center counsel and center cubby area had been gone through. Neither area had valuables within them, but everything in the center cubby area was strewn throughout the front of the car and the center counsel cover was not secured because an item was blocking the latching mechanism. Keep in mind, nothing was taken, but that may only be because there wasn't anything of value except postage stamps in that area.
My recommendation would definitely be to give the hotel a try, but not to use the valet service. Or, if you do use the valet, do not leave anything of value in your vehicle.
This hotel is absolutely stunning, and the art gallery offers a distinctive touch that enhances the overall experience. The complimentary champagne upon arrival is a wonderful detail that transforms a stressful travel day into something special. The bar was consistently bustling with vibrant guests, and the espresso martinis were simply fantastic. Conveniently located from the convention center and heart of downtown. I would recommend it to anyone staying for business or pleasure.
Second time at this awesome hotel and there will be a third! Champagne upon arrival a nice touch. Vibe is amazing: great art, awesome rooms with cool decor, fab food/drinks & turntables and staff who like being there, too. We needed help with tv/tech and the response was quick! Food and atmosphere at The Studio on the second floor great, as was prompt room service. One of my fave hotels in Midwest!
This stay was delightful. I brought my mom for mother's day. The prix fixe meal at The Studio was tasty. Then, the room was very cozy and unique. After settling in, we went exploring the different galleries. We sat at The Bar and enjoyed snacks, drinks and live music before taking a pizza from The Proof back to the room. We got excited looking at the types of events at the hotel and talked about coming back in the future. The beds were soft. The record player was a fun touch to set music for the time in the room. Overall, this was a great stay. I'm looking forward to booking another trip.
This hotel was so unique and fun! We enjoyed the creative vibe, the museum, the artist in residence as well as the live music in the lobby at night. So many fun details from the eraser soap to the turntable in our room. We would definitely stay again
There was no microwave in our room and we wished there was a fan in the bathroom both for steam removal and white noise!
Andrew, Dan were fantastic parking and retrieving our vehicle. The front desk staff were great too
The bat was a great atmosphere and Phil was wonderful to talk with.
The room was clean and nicely curated. We did not want to leave but when we had to, Dan and Andrew assisted us wonderfully. Thank you for a great evening!
Another amazing stay! The rooms are large and comfortable and the bar area with music is always a fun place to gather.
Nacho was the most helpful! He was kind and made sure our stay was comfortable.
My wife and I recently stayed at Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel while escaping the dust and chaos of our home renovation — and what an incredible experience it turned out to be.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with glasses of champagne at check-in, instantly setting the tone for a relaxing and memorable stay. Every detail felt thoughtful, warm, and artistic.
We were delighted to discover it was International Jazz Festival weekend, and the hotel was alive with music, celebration, and creativity. The evening honoring legendary jazz artists created such a magical atmosphere throughout the property.
Our room was absolutely exceptional. We loved the artistic touches, especially being able to play vintage records on the turntable and even strum the adorable little red ukulele in the room. It felt nostalgic, cozy, and inspiring all at once.
Most importantly, we truly rested. We slept wonderfully and left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already talking about our next visit.
Thank you to everyone at Saint Kate for creating such a beautiful experience for us. We are truly already planning to come back soon. 💕🎶🍷
Theo and Andrew - very kind and helpful at valet and with bags. Nicely done!
Our stay was one of the most enjoyable stays in any hotel anywhere during our entire lifetimes. The Theater District and restaurants are added value. We will be returning.
Loved this hotel! We were in town for a wedding and chose the hotel for location but would go back for the experience! The hotel was easily accessible with a parking garage located underneath, had several galleries and art as promised, along with record players in every room. Coffee and tea were available by the elevators and there were dining options both in 2 restaurants and the lobby bar. The lobby bar had a great vibe, was a gathering spot for both travelers and locals and actually hosted a fabulous Kentucky Derby party while we were there. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and we would definitely stay here again!
Great experience at St. Kate. We spent a night at the St Kate while attending a concert at the Miller High Life Theater in Milwaukee. The hotel is full of great art and we loved the quirky features including record players in the rooms. We’d definitely go back for a longer stay!
Everything!
Can not complain!
Theo, Dan, Andrew were very professional and easy to work with. Top level service.
Excellent service from Andrew, Theo, Ethan and Nacho
Attended an event. Great service, food was good. Valet was fast and friendly. Thank you to Andrew, Dan and Theo!
