To all guests visiting between February 03 and May 01, 2023; The Hotel Roanoke will be removing 1 of our 3 Lobby elevators from service to perform a beautiful renovation. All guestrooms can be accessed by utilizing the two remaining elevators, except for the Governor’s Suite, which will require exiting on the 6th floor and taking the staircase to the 7th floor. A wonderful place for families, friends and getaways.
Pros:

Beautiful, historic hotel with modern convenience. Nice restaurants on site. Staff was amazing and friendly. Ruins were large and comfy.

Quick stay to see downtown
Pros:

Hotel was busy but we stayed in the relax section. Very quiet. But the hotel is overall busy so while it a great location for old town Roanoke it’s not a place to come for quiet. Our plan was just to see downtown and explore shops and eat. I would say this is a great place for business meetings and conferences. We did not use any of the on site restaurants. Plenty in town across the glass enclosed bridge which starts at the hotel.

Very disappointing
Pros:

I have been going to the Regency Room for over 20 years so I though that it would be a great place to celebrate my 80th birthday with my wife and friends. It was not - bad idea. Food served raw rather than cooked. Food served cold rather than hot. Very unappealing plate presentation. Musicians so loud no table conversation was possible. Service inexperienced. Very disappointing. Michael C-P

Happy guess
Pros:

The staff, the manager was amazing. Valet attendants were very professional. The front staff smiles captivated me. I felt welcomed. They treated everyone with respect and I loved that. I will definitely return.

I would visit Roanoke and stay here again.
Pros:

Everything! Great building, attentive staff, great bedding, nice bar and restaurants. Walkway directly to downtown. Great downtown full of music and restaurants.

Hotel Roanoke Bar
Pros:

Love this hotel. I spent a few days abòut 18 months ago. I was tired and wandered to the bar to find out if I could eat there. The 3 bartenders on duty, Melanie, Jenn and Tammy kept me in great spirits. Melanie and Jenn were so knowledgeable about where to go in the area and Tammy took me on a tour of the speakeasy. Recently I came back and was excited to see “my girls” Sadly, none of them were on that night. I was told Jenn and Melanie were off and Tammy was no longer there. My second time around, the bar staff was not nearly as warm, friendly or attentive.
A tall bald guy, an older woman with glasses and a young lady with glasses. I did not have anything close to my first experience.
Overall, I still love this hotel.
