Nice stay
Pros:

Good hotel not right in the centre but had plenty going on around it but very quiet in the hotel.
Also a nice breakfast

Cons:

I know it’s not the hotels fault but it was very warm while we there, air on would have been nice but had big windows to open.

The staff were amazing but the hotel is outdated and horrible to stay in.
Pros:

The staff are the best part of this hotel. I don't know how they manage with a hotel falling apart around them.
They are running around endlessly to meet the demands of guests. In essence there is not enough staff especially at night time. I want to personally thank the staff as they were great.

Cons:

The hotel is in shambles. Dirty from the moment i walked in and it is unbelievably outdated. I walked into my room and i could smell a foul musky odor. I put it down to maybe it is a cleaning product. This is not the case. The bathroom actually smells like urine. There is no other way to describe it. It is extremely outdated. The position of the door stop right in front of the toilet seat is absolutely bizarre beyond belief. The bathtub shower position is awful. Even when you adjust it you're standing inside a narrow bathtub trying to shower in an awkward side position.

The 'AC' unit i think is from the 1980s. I have never seen an AC unit with a hanging remote attached to it. The worst part is that it does not even cool the ENTIRE room. It only cools the sitting area where you walk in. The bedroom still remains hot and it was very hot on my stay.

Both TVs did NOT work. No signal on ANY of the channels (there are also wires just hanging out on the tv where the sofa is). It just so tacky and off putting.

The bed was not comfortable either. But that could be a preference thing so i won't go too hard on that. But it was not for me.

One of the days the lifts stopped working. I and other guests were dressed for a wedding in sweltering heat and were forced to walk down the stairs from the 6th floor.

I wanted to complain but then i thought, if i do complain, none of these issues can really be fixed.

Overall the experience was very poor.

Don't let the 4 star rating fool you.

Pros:

Отличное расположение отеля в тихом районе, в непосредственной близости от центра города. Великолепный богатый, разнообразный и вкусный завтрак. Прекрасный дружелюбный персонал. И какой-то особый запах на входе в отель. ))) Спасибо большое за отличный день ❤️👍

Ich habe mich hier vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt und werde bestimmt wiederkommen.
Pros:

Die Unterkunft ist zentral, ruhig und komfortabel gelegen.
In der Umgebung gibt es viele gute Möglichkeiten zum Ausgehen.

Great location, friendly staff, and a very comfortable stay overall
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location is excellent and made it very easy to explore Cologne on foot and access everything we needed without relying on transport. The staff were always very kind, polite, and helpful throughout our stay, which made a big difference. We also liked the breakfast, there was a good variety of options and everything was well organized.

Cons:

The only thing we didn’t really enjoy was the feather pillows. They were too soft and loose for our preference, so we had to use two pillows or fold them to get enough support while sleeping.
