Pros:

The room was big, breakfast was very good, room clean and easy to find as it was close to the highway. The air-conditioner worked wonderfully

No elevator, needed hallway vacuuming, stained lamp shade, one lamp didn't work, commode took three flushes every time it was used.

Staff was friendly and the breakfast was pretty good.

Cons:

Room needs serious renovating, bed was okay. The pool was closed, which was disappointing because that was a big factor in wanting to stay there. The room was very musty. No fan in the bathroom. Tried to dry our personal towels before leaving to find the dryer did not work and the other was in use. People next to us were in and out of their room all night, making a lot of noise which included a moped/scooter reving up at 2am..

I look forward to my next stay in Hickory, N.C. because I know exactly where I will be staying
Pros:

Everything I experienced was good. I wasn't thrilled about the mini fridge. But Everything else was good. Especially the breakfast.

Cons:

While I did request non smoking. I forgot to request handicap. So climbing up the stairs was difficult. As a matter of fact. Climbing the stairs was my only bad experience.

The room was nice, mostly clean except for a sticky stain on one side table. Not a big deal because the bed was clean, and the rest of the room was clean

Great hotel, wonderful owners and staff and very reasonable for what you get!
Pros:

I booked this last minute (not familiar with North Carolina) I was travelling from the UK. I was immediately welcomed by a friendly receptionist who happened to be the owner of the hotel. The check in process was smooth, room was clean and spacious and the value for money was brilliant. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
