We recently stayed at the Residence Inn while visiting family. Check-in was fast, friendly, and efficient, which made for a smooth arrival. One thing to note, however, is that the rooms are spread across multiple separate buildings that are not connected to the main lobby. Navigating between buildings, especially with luggage, can be a bit challenging due to several sets of stairs and no ramps.
Our suite itself was spacious and well appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was the typical Residence Inn offering and was adequate and convenient. We didn’t take advantage of the other amenities during this visit.
There were two drawbacks worth mentioning. First, our room overlooked what could be described as an inner courtyard with a fire pit and seating area. While it’s a nice feature in theory, it was quite noisy late into the evening, with groups and teenagers gathered around the fire pit talking loudly. Second, the property sits directly along C470, and there was noticeable interstate traffic noise in the room.
The price for our stay was very reasonable, and a pair of earplugs helped for sleeping, but light sleepers should take these factors into account. If staying here, it may be worth requesting a room away from both the courtyard and the highway.

I have rarely met a hotel shower I liked. This was no exception. I am a water pressure, hand held shower person. Rarely get two out of two.
Everytime I’ve stayed at Residence Inn Highland’s Ranch parking has been a snap. Easy to access my room and still see my car from the window. I love this place.

Nice staff, good breakfast.
Snow removal waited too long. Lots of snow still on sidewalks late in the morning. Water leaked from shower onto floor, no seal. Created a puddle on the floor and was removing paint from bottom of bathroom door. Handles on shower doors were very loose. No seal around main (front) door, light came in all around door. Just a lack of maintenance.
The lobby/clubhouse building is beautiful with great breakfast included. The rooms are nice, clean, and well kept. The staff is always friendly and accommodating to my needs for early check ins and late check outs. I called around to several other hotels who could not tell me whether I’d be able to check in early or not so this was a huge deciding factor for me on my initial visit and remains why I keep coming back!
This hotel is set up more like apartments really in several different buildings which I don’t necessarily LOVE, but it has its pros and cons. All hallways are interior and access to each building is controlled by key card only, so you don’t have random people inside the building who don’t belong there, although it does make food delivery slightly less convenient.
