A wonderful stay with extremely kind and amazing staff.
Pros:

We enjoyed how close the location was to the trolley, and other fun spots! There were great drinking spots and clubs right down the road.

Cons:

The area the property is at is not the cleanest and though they accept dogs, it was difficult to find a secure spot to walk and allow our dog to use the restroom. The hotel did not have an area just for this so it complicated things a bit more for our doggy but we managed.

Hotel staff are great and helpful! special shout out to the Front desk Ms Maria or Marinda.
Pros:

Love the interior design and decor! Also like the colorful room, antique furniture matching modern backdrop!

Hotel is in good location; near to Union Square and Bart station. Spacious lobby areas for guests to rest and hangout! We especially like the fire place, cozy and keep us warm!

Cons:

The unfortunate thing is the location of hotel is by the edge of Tenderloin where homeless and drug addicts live.

We have to avoid walking to those areas. However, you can't avoid them all if you want to see SF city!

Excellent choice
Pros:

I had an excellent stay at The Marker Union Square and would absolutely choose it again. The room was very comfortable and, despite being in a busy downtown area, impressively quiet (I was on the 7th floor). It made for a very restful experience. The desk staff was absolutely stellar - special shout out to Priscilla! Everyone at the front desk was efficient, kind, consistently smiling, and genuinely sympathetic. They helped us solve different issues during our stay with professionalism and warmth, which really made a difference. The hotel restaurant is also quite good. Breakfast (not included with the room) was very enjoyable and well worth it. The location is downtown, so you encounter the usual big-city realities, but I did not feel especially unsafe walking in the area. There are also many excellent restaurants within easy walking distance, which is a huge plus. Overall, I wouldn’t even consider looking for another hotel next time I’m in San Francisco, I would happily stay here again.
