The hotel is dirty, the rooms smell like sewage. They charged a duplicate charge at check in. Even though we booked through Expedia, Expedia provided credit card information and the Hotel charged a second charge at Check in. Tried to speak with manager, never available. Terrible experience and worst hotel ever stayed in. Expedia is also not helpful at all.

Nice hotel. Very comfortable bed. Not really convenient to airport or El Chepe train but both are out of town. Short walk 15 to 20 minutes to centro

Never stay here.
Pros:

We ended up not staying. The room was just not what we desired. Old, smelly, bedding threadbare and ragged. Couldn't find the remote control for the tv. After an hour we just packed up and went elsewhere.

The property is dated and in need of some upgrades. I booked the honeymoon suite but it looked very little like the posted pictures . The check-in was a little bit tedious but not too bad. Cleaning staff came in and cleaned our room but threw out some food items and other toiletries that we had in the room. I'm not sure if they thought we had checked out but they threw out the items and made no attempts to replace them after we brought it to their attention. I'm doubtful that I will ever book there again

I believe that this property was two properties, i.e., Hotel Plaza and Capital Urban. Hotel Plaza at $140/night and Urban Capital at $55. We paid $140 but I think we stayed in Urban Capital so beware. It wasn’t dirty but old, limited bedding and coverlet was suspect. A/C extremely noisy, did not get much sleep. Upside, our vehicle was safe. 24 hr security.
