Very pleasant experience while visiting a great city.

They didn’t give me itemized receipt, even after I asked for it. They said that’s because I booked through Booking. I am still waiting for them to give me an itemized receipt for reimbursement.

Top Notch for customer service and cleanliness.
Pros:

I originally was at another Marriott. It was very nice, but the rooms were just too small for what me and my husband needed. My new reservation was handled smoothly and professional from the last hotel. I was relieved when I arrived here at the Gaslamp Marriott. April at the front desk was very welcoming and answered many questions that I’ve had since I’ve been here. She is definitely someone that you want to keep on staff. Her customer service and personality is exactly what you want when you come to a Marriott. I don’t know what her title is, but if she’s not in management for customer service, I would be shocked. My husband and I 100% recommend coming to this property. Every single employee has been very professional and welcoming. My husband and I have traveled with our family to the Ritz a couple times which of course they always do above and beyond, and I would put this hotel at the same level with customer service.

Clean downtown stay, could use a refresh
Pros:

Basic Marriott .. close to convention center , walk to many shops and restaurants, easy valet. Charging in room was challenging, housekeeping late in the day, no make up mirror, didn’t live the mounted bath products and small bath and. Closet , no fridge , a bit tired overall but served us well
For a quick weekend. Basic lobby, concierge room on 21 was handy for hot water and basic things. No pool here so we headed to beach at Coronado. Westin just a block away has
rooftop pool and seems it’s worn a bit better w time. Marriott on harbor is also a step up
From this property and the intercontinental also looked quite good w views. Concert at Petco was sooo loud Saturday night. Wow .. we needed ear plugs. 2am gas lamp revelers.. not great for rest :) all things to balance into your plans when picking a downtown hotel

La ubicación

Cons:

El personal es poco cálido, el primer día no anduvo el wifi. Todo es viejo y encima tiene olor a viejo, el baño hace ruidos. La cama no es cómoda, se hunde. Se escucha todo lo que pasa afuera de la habitación.
Y antes de llegar me llegó un mail diciéndome que me habían registrado a un programa de rewards de Marriott que yo no solicité
