Not a good Marriott reflect, but hope change is coming.
Pros:

I seem to be on a quest for a descent affordable Marriot property but I’m truly striking out. This place is a Marriott embarrassment! Yes, they are getting ready for a remodel. But you need to keep things running if you’re going to charge the rates you’re charging. Front sliding entrance door is broken. It was propped open. The elevator has caution tape across the door and is inoperable. There is no working ice maker in the entire hotel. The pet area is dirt with reds and stickers. No place for me to walk my dog after paying a sill high price for a pet fee. The thermostat I the room is a decoration as the controls are on the wall unit. No Mention of being greeted as a Bonvoy member etc. just not what I expect out of a Marriott property.

Highway Robbery , Fraud
Pros:

Stayed at the Fairfield Inn and suites on Branchlands charlottesville va. This has been the worst experience and they do not seem to care. I was told my room would be $124. Ended up being charged $164. Figured Dog fee. 6 days later was charged $229.05 and not one time was i told Ithis is what I will be charged . My husband is on Disability and only gets so much a month. They will not reimburse me and they made my bank account negative. I have called since June 4th and nothing is being done. Fraud!! Did not approved this

Terrible customer service
Pros:

Terrible - terrible customer service. The reservation system did not work and called hotel - the woman did not know how to book a reservation for wedding. I spoke with her for 30 minutes when she figured it out ( but clearly did not). When I never got the confirmation, had to call back. Another 30 minutes on hold to discover she never booked them !

The front desk was not helpful - almost rude . Soooo disappointed .

Pros:

Don't stay here. Terrible customer service, very rude front desk. Breakfast was subpar and there was no water for drinking.

A Caring Staff Member Makes a Huge Difference!
Pros:

We stayed for a single night. The front desk clerk, Autumn, went out of her way to make us feel very welcome and she noticed that the seven-year-old in our party was wearing a festive headband. She asked if it was her birthday, and even though her birthday was a week away, Autumn wrote out a personalized birthday card, that the little one couldn't wait to show her Mom (who had gone on to the airport to pick up a rental car). Thank you, Autumn, for making the stay special!

Comfortable, clean , and easy stay.
Pros:

Location was great and access to others things was good. Ease of checking in and leaving was great. Staff friendly and everything seemed cleaned and comfortable.

Cons:

Had nothing to do with the hotel. It seemed like there were some late night check ins and they were noisy

Pros:

3 minute drive to where we were going. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Was glad chairs were in each room, so beds weren't needed for sitting

Cons:

Breakfast was included, but no juice or water was available, had to go to front desk to get water.
