Great location and nice place to stay.
Pros:

It is a lovely old property and like the space and charm offered. Lovely spaced to sit and relax and enjoy a drink. Location is excellent close to restaurants and shopping.

I overloaded the circuit by plugging in the coffee machine and the kettle. This circuit also had the TV. Reception was prompt in attempting to fix issue but it required an electrician to be called to site and could not be fixed before I attended my event. Reception arranged hot water so I could have a cuppa. Returning 5 hours later the issue had been resolved but although the TV had power it wouldn't change channels etc.
Overall I paid a significant amount of money for 5 hours to sleep and to have a shower. I wasn't able to relax and enjoy thr room comforts.

Old world luxury but needs a little love.
Pros:

Loved the character of the hotel. Old world character & charm. Loved the high ceilings, the fact that the old lift it still there, although it doesn't work. Staircases are beautiful.

Cons:

No fan, the aircon struggled. A fan would have help the air flow and made it a lot more comfortable. No hair-dryer, and the lighting was a little dull, and the coffee table in our room was very wobbly, and we had to put a cushion under the couch cushions cause it was very saggy. Might be time to look at updating some of the furniture.

Everything ... Helpful front of house staff, staff/service/food in Ryan's on the Park and The Lab, the "bed" extremely comfortable and everything about our room was perfect for our stay.
