Rodd Royalty

Everything from booking to checkout was flawless. I booked our hotel as a block for a softball team. I had the Holiday Inn just up the road also booked but opted for the lesser price of Rodd Rotalty to save our families money. The Holiday Inn was not eager to take us anyways and difficult to communicate with which is why I ended up looking elsewhere. The only bad review that stood out about the Rodd that made me apprehensive was that the pool was too cold. Our group of 9-11 year olds plus other family wouldn’t get out of the pool because it was so warm and the slide was amazing! This hotel was the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. We constantly saw cleaning staff in the halls and they were also very friendly. We also asked if it be possible to start their breakfast earlier to accommodate our early ball schedule and they did both Saturday and Sunday for us. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. The rooms were great! Soap smelled amazing and beds were very comfortable

I have stayed at the Rodd Royalty before on business trips to Charlottetown and was feeling welcomed and special. The manager once told me they would always greet me at the Rodd and that I could pay the incidental deposit by cash or debit as I do not have a credit card and the room is booked through my company. Well not anymore, they make you feel less than a guest and unwelcomed now as they are refusing debit/cash deposit no matter the amount. They made me feel inferior for not owning a credit card. The room is prepaid. They allowed for this time my 200$ deposit but I was advised that I would not be welcome anymore. I don’t see what all the fuss is about, There are no furniture in that outdated room worth 200$. This very basic room cost me over 300$. I think this is ridiculous. I have been travelling everywhere in New Brunswick, I have been to the Algonquin Resort, a highly rated hotel and was welcomed and still very much appreciated without a credit card deposit. I’m willing to pay whatever amount is needed for deposit but I suppose this is not enough for them. I will not be coming back I will be using Airbnb whenever I go to PEI from now on and I travel there once a month. I was going to make this hotel my go-to because I enjoy the pool and amenities . They lost my business.

Old tired hotel in need of a refresh or renovation. On the main strip near highway. Small rooms bad coffee and no accessible

Perfect hotel for business travel as it is close to many commercial businesses with easy access to highway. For leisure travel I prefer the Rodd Charlottetown in the heart of the city.

This hotel is really one of the better ones we stayed with during this excursion.
The staff, all the staff, we professional and full of genuine smiles.
Definitely one to return to in the future.

Breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. Sausage was perfect. Juice was good and coffee was perfect.

24 hour friendly and helpful service. Good location. Visited to find our dream home - which we did! Would definitely recommend!

Ensure you are not in the circle suites! These are in major need of repairs and updating. Spiders and their nests in the long dark hall to get to the rooms of those suites. Do not recommend.
