Location /proximity to the Hospital where I had to go
No true Handicap parking, shower leaked and was noisy,Some of the guests were loud in the early morning (3Am).Lot of construction Workers with big Trucks everywhere in parking lot and lighting in parking lot was minimal.
Bed was comfy, rooms are clean, AC was cold enough and stayed on.
I had a room close to the elevator so I could just hear a lot of noise
The location was great and we enjoyed our room in the 12th floor. Very quiet.
Beautiful hotel with a good burger restaurant on site.
Pool looked a little dirty. No early check-ins.
1)Bed and pillows were not too soft. Perfect.
2)There was a lady that seemed mild mannered and patient. I can't remember her name but she was a brown lady with pretty yellow nails. 💛
Mostly everyone was RUDE.
1)Called to verify "check-in"and an Asian lady answered the phone was VERY rude!
2)I was told by Beccy W. that I was fortunate to get free breakfast and it was not in a positive way. (Free breakfast comes with the booking)
3)My daughter and I went downstairs for breakfast and was treated as if we walked into the building asking for food. I also was told that I couldn't take my food to my room so we had to stay down stairs to eat.(I have NEVER been told this since booking with Holiday inn express)
4)As I was going to make the bed there was an old blood stain on the comforter and a nice size hole. I requested clean sheets. I waited for like an hour before leaving for the day. Once I left I received a phone call about entering my room to changing the sheets. I did not want anyone in my room while I was not present. I was told that no one would be able to to change the sheets after hours. Since I booked 2 queen beds for 3 adults we all just slept in the one bed. But I was given rewards for this.
Hotel was very clean and exceptionally well maintained.
Carts wasn't available when you go out to shop in order to carry up groceries.
Great king bed. Someone came in everyday to replenish towels, although they always missed something...like a bathroom towel floor mat but we appreciated that they came in daily without asking.
Restaurant was freezing. Breakfast was decent but pretty much the same everyday and the cold plates cooled our food before we could eat it. Sofa bed mattress in the room was stained and should be replaced. The indoor pool looked nasty. I don't think I ever saw anyone swimming and I don't blame them. The carpet in the room smelled probably because it was so humid. The location was a little farther away from our family than I expected.

Todo ok
Convenient and clean
I was impressed with the property…it has been years since I stayed at a Holiday Inn and this one was exceptional. We went to the restaurant and saw our waitress pick her nose and that turned us off from eating there again but everything else was great!!
I didn’t realize until we were leaving that we were so close to everything that was cool in Newport News. The direction that we went to our conference everyday didn’t take us that way and we went out to grab a bite the night before we discovered it. I would definitely stay again.
