Hyatt Regency Dulles International Airport

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Dulles was unfortunately disappointing due to how a situation involving a convention group was handled.

During our stay, a fitness convention was taking place at the hotel. On multiple occasions, attendees and organizers from the group asked my children to leave the hotel pool even though the amenity was not reserved for private use. My children were accompanied by their older sister the first time this occurred, and the following day my wife was present when the same thing happened again.

We raised the issue with the Front Desk Manager during the stay and were told the group would be spoken to. While staff indicated they addressed the situation, the behavior continued and the group effectively dominated the pool area. As a result, my children ultimately felt uncomfortable using the pool for the remainder of our stay.

What was most disappointing was the lack of follow-up afterward. I contacted Hyatt Concierge while still on property and was informed the hotel’s leadership team would be contacted, but the property never reached out to address the situation.

The issue itself could likely have been resolved quickly with clearer enforcement that hotel amenities remain available to all guests unless explicitly reserved. Instead, the environment became uncomfortable for other guests trying to use the space.

We generally enjoy staying at Hyatt properties and have had many positive experiences, which is why this situation stood out as particularly disappointing.

The location the staff was very helpful

Stayed here for business, rooms are clean and quiet. Front desk was very quick to get us our room keys. Dinner is a bit pricey but the food is good. Recommend the red pepper bisque & happy hour quesadilla. Good portions.

Free shuttle from airport, spacious lobby, on site restaurant, large comfortable rooms that were very clean.

This property is always very clean and very comfortable. The staff is friendly at check-in. The rooms are spacious. Take advantage of the incredible breakfast.

I am a recent guest at your property. On Tuesday, February 24th, 2026, a medicine bag containing prescription medications and personal health items went missing from my desk in room 718. I reported the theft immediately to your front desk and was told housekeeping had not seen the item. I received no investigation, no follow-up, and no resolution.
On Tuesday February 24th, 2026 at 500PM-EST, I sent a formal written complaint via email directly to hotel management. I received no response.
On February 24th at 800PMEST, I filed a formal theft report with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Case Number: 20260550248. Officers attended the property and took statements.
To date, Hyatt Regency Dulles has:
- Failed to review keycard door access logs for my room
- Failed to conduct a meaningful investigation into the theft
- Failed to respond to written communications from a guest
- Failed to fulfill its duty of care as an innkeeper under Virginia law
On top of this, the manager, Viridiana, claims that there was no record of housekeeping entering my room. This is impossible given my bed was made and my bags were put away.
Something is clearly fishy with this hotel and o would recommend avoiding at all costs should you not want your property to go missing.
