The Hilton in Fairfax is the best place to stay.
Pros:

Great location for me. Plenty of parking. Very clean. Plenty of room. I stay there every time I am in the area.

We come to VA fairly often and will probably consider other hotel options in the future.
Pros:

The staff at this hotel were all very courteous, capable, and professional. The room layout is good for working or relaxing. The lobby and outdoor areas are spacious.

Cons:

This hotel is starting to look a bit tired. We have stayed here 3-4 times & have noticed that wear and tear is taking its toll - the hotel doesn't "shine" anymore. Altho we made a rez a few weeks ahead of our travel, our room was subpar. The bathroom countertop had a big jagged chunk out of it at the sink edge, the GFI plug in the sink area was broken with pieces missing. During our stay the power went off in the bathroom and our AC stopped working. Thankfully the reception staff offered us another room. That room was better, but also had a damaged GFI outlet - this safety issue is unacceptable.

Stay was comfortable. Front desk accommodated a few adjustments upon check out.
Pros:

Room was clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and attentive, especially in the breakfast room. Check out and check in was easy.

Cons:

Would have like some amenities, like a shower cap. Bottled water should be complimentary in room.
