We picked the hotel as we were flying out of Colombo the next day. It was good value for money and provided everything we needed - a Good-sized, clean room, nice breakfast, and swimming pool. The owner was fantastic; they allowed us a late checkout at 2:00 pm, use of the swimming pool until late in the evening, and even access to one of the hotel rooms for a shower all at no charge. The owner also took us to the airport in his car for a reasonable price, which was cheaper than the quoted taxi price.
The hotel and staff were great.
Not sure if I'd want to stay in Negombo for more than one night.
3e keer verblijf in dit resort. Resort is prachtig en in nette staat. Hotel en kamers zijn erg proper en schoon. Bedden zijn comfortabel. Aardige en behulpzame medewerkers. Prijs kwaliteit is ver boven verwachting.
Zwembad is erg verouderd. Er wordt een nieuw zwembad momenteel gebouwd, dus dit zou beter moeten worden.

Das Personal hat gewartet bis wir spät in der Nacht angereist sind und waren sehr freundlich!
Die Einrichtung könnte auf einen besseren Stand gebracht werden.. das Waschbecken wackelt.. der Kühlschrank ist nicht mehr der neueste und sauberste.. ansonsten waren wir für zwei Nächte zufrieden und es ist ein gutes Hotel die Sri Lanka Reise zu starten :)

The 3R resort was the last place we stayed in Sri Lanka before leaving for the US. Our visit was in February which must be considered low season for foreign tourism to the island. The hotel is modern, clean, and quiet and is located one block off the main bustling street in that area of Negombo. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the beach (which was hopping on Friday night) and shopping/restaurants. The pool was great and the breakfast we had there was also good. It was easy to arrange transport to the airport. All in all this hotel was very good value and met and/or exceeded all of our expectations. We would certainly revisit again as either a first or last port of call in Sri Lanka.
Nothing of any note
Breakfast was nice, both local and continental. Canal right next to hotel had all kinds of animals going about their day, very cool to see. Pool was clean
Not enough chairs around the pool i think.
Lovely staff, really lovely, and we were fortunate to also meet the new Manager over (the included, perfect) breakfast on the pool-patio beside the canal, who is really good company. This is a nice location, on a quiet semi-residential steet parallel with and one block back from the very busy main steet through Negombo. Good location to explore the main street eateries from, and suited us very well for the relative proximity to the international airport; Negombo is not otherwise somewhere one would stay for more than 2-3 nights when there's so much to explore elsewhere in Sri Lanka, but we'd not hesitate to stay at 3R when we return - thankyou for your hospitality and friendliness!
Nothing to dislike - we really landed on our feet finding 3R as our first stay in Sri Lanka before picking up our tour.
The room was modern, with a really comfortable bed and air con. We loved cooling down in the pool
Unfortunately while we were there, wifi wasn't working. Apart from that, it was a great stay!
Good value for Travellers near the airport
The resort was able to provide breakfast in a short notice, the place is quiet and safe for female travelers. Nice and shady outside patio by the pool and the canal.
