This hotel has to be one of the worst in the Marriott portfolio of properties.
I have traveled extensively and never have I experienced a hotel as dirty and disgusting as this one.
The hotel was apparently at full capacity when we checked in and was (is) undergoing renovations. The room wreaked a moldy and musty smell as soon as we opened the door. We were exhausted after driving for hours so we attempted to settle in for the night. We opted to sleep fully dressed for fear of our bodies touching the linen. The pillows and linen smelled like months old sweaty unwashed armpits, testicles and butt, and, the carpet was damp to the touch. The tub had traces of hair and did not drain. The sofa was filthy and the room appeared to have been set up as a storage area instead of guest quarters.
The front desk staff was professional and provided outstanding service and did everything they could to accommodate us, which we are truly grateful for.
Long story short, avoid this place at all cost. They really should shut this hotel down until the renovations are completed.
Great everything aside from tv not working
Tv was not working
Check in was a disaster ! They couldn’t find my reservation in the system. Took over a hour to check in !
The staff was great ! Check in sucked
I show up at 3 AM without a reservation and I am a Bonvoy titanium member. I was with my 11-year-old daughter and we had flight issues. I was told I couldn’t book a room because they had already done an audit for the night and I needed to go somewhere else. We literally rode in an Uber there because I trust Marriot is a place where I can always find a place to stay. If they were full, I understand it was a gamble. The front desk didn’t offer to call and check anywhere else just told me to find another hotel. I pressed for more help because obviously I was exhausted, and was told I could call the Marriott down the road. They didn’t offer me the number or anything. I found the number in the Bonvoy app and called Orlando Marriott Lake Mary. They told they would take care of us. We didn’t have a car. We took an Uber from the airport there so we had to wait for another ride. Five stars for the Orlando Marriott Lake Mary. They took great care of us..
Cleanliness and customer service

We drove into the parking lot to see a pile of mattresses, which, naturally, was a red flag. The man at the front desk was on the phone, trying to find a room at another hotel for a couple waiting in the lobby, and told us he'd "explain the mattresses when [he] got off the phone". When he got off the phone, he told us, "We're remodeling," to which we asked why, and he explained that the last time we saw that many mattresses outside a hotel was during the bedbug outbreak in Paris in the fall of 2023.
This is when he started yelling at us that "we don't use *that* word here" and "how dare we accuse them of having [bedbugs]?" We never said they had bedbugs, but legitimately wanted to know if that was an issue (1. mattresses in the parking lot; 2. finding another hotel for people in the lobby; 3. not just saying they're remodeling).
He would not tell us his name or his manager's name and told us he was denying us service. We asked for a refund on our prepaid room, but we have still not received it after far too long on the phone with Marriott. I have never been so insulted and embarrassed at a hotel before, and would sincerely appreciate hearing from Marriott or the management group that owns this hotel.
Flood damage, construction, room alarm clocks all going off at midnight, told desk, he didn't seem to care that it woke me up both times. No free coffee, over priced starbucks not available until 0630. Lots of competition in that area, do better.
Fantastic property and staff! The property is undergoing a full renovation to add to its already steller customer service and staff. Cristina Regis the General Manager manages this property well. Jeff the PM host knows the best places for dining and attractions.
