Cons:

Some of the upholstery in the bedroom was a bit tired. The shower panel had many controls and it wasn’t clear which operated which thing.

Cons:

La salle de bain. Savon dans la douche hs et dans la baignoire c’était le tuyau. De plus avant on avait un verre d’accueil ce qui n’est plus le cas.

We had despite the narrow room a lovely five days stay.
Pros:

Nice old English building, lovely decoration (something between art and kitsch), very very friendly staff. Room was well equipped. Breakfast is excellent (fresh local produce). South Kensington is a quiet neighbourhood, and Bute street, just 100 steps from the hotel, offers a variety of small restaurants of different tastes.

Cons:

Room was too small or the bed too large. There was hardly any space to step or to put a suitcase. So when the Exhibitionist will reconfigure the layout one day, we recommend to remove the bath tube (shower is enough) and add the space to the room.

Das Hotel hat maximal 2 Sterne verdient und ist mit der Beschreibung nicht ident! Nie mehr wieder!
Pros:

Einzig die Lage, die Nähe zur U-Bahn und dass in der Nähe viele Lokale sind, wo man auch gut essen kann sind positiv hervorzuheben.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Moderne findet man höchstens in der Lobby und auf den Gängen, wobei man sich hier nicht den Fußboden anschauen sollte. Das Zimmer ist extrem eng und ein KingSize Bett, das 2x2 Meter haben soll, steht bei Weiten nicht im Raum. Links und rechts neben dem Bett kann man sich kaum umdrehen. Es riecht muffig und die elektrischen Leitungen sind mehr als in die Jahre gekommen. Unser Hauptlicht hat permanent geflackert. Mehrfach gemeldet, jedoch interessiert hat es niemanden. Im selben Zimmer unserer Kinder brannte eine Lampe durch und es gab eine entsprechende Rauchentwicklung. Zum Glück fiel der FI. Hier wurde jedenfalls sofort reagiert und zumindest der Strom wieder angemacht, aber das war auch schon alles. Zwar wird ein Kasten im Zimmer in der Beschreibung ausgewiesen, allerdings spottet dieser jeder Beschreibung. Die kleine Doppeltüre war nur einseitig zu öffnen und im Kasten gab es weder Ablageflächen noch Kleiderhaken, wodurch man 1 Woche lang aus dem Koffer leben musste. (s. auch Fotos) Von 5 Sternen ist man sowas von weit entfernt! Die tägliche Reinigung fand nicht statt. Wir mussten mehrfach urgieren und selbst da wurde alles andere als ordentlich geputzt.(s. Fotos vom Bad nach 3 und 5 Tagen!) Das Frühstück war überschaubar, aber es gab vor allem jeden Tag das selbe. Das Personal war unwillig und unfreundlich. Auch verschwand beim Putzen ein Kleidungsstück. Es wurde nur angemerkt, dass wenn es gefunden werden würde, man es 6 Monate aufbewahren werde und wir es ja abholen kommen könnten. Das Personal ist allgemein unfreundlich und wird sofort schnippisch, wenn man Unzulänglichkeiten anmerkt. Gelöst wird nichts.
Auch an ein ruhiges Schlafen war nicht zu denken. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig und in der Nacht gab es dann ein permanenten monotones Klopfen, das man wahrnehmen durfte. Beschwerde-Lösung-Fehlanzeige!

Perfect stay for y prep and newlyweds
