I have already recommended the Western Ave Inn
Pros:

Great staff. Well kept including outdoor shrubs, no litter, indoor areas were well maintained including pool area. Beds were comfortable and plenty of good choices for breakfast.

Cons:

Need a few hooks for hats and outdoor jackets just as you enter.

A wonderful welcome, a good night’s rest and easy access to downtown Albany
Pros:

The breakfast was plentiful and the food quality was excellent. The people working there were friendly, welcoming and helpful. One worker saw me carrying a bowl of cereal in my hand and actually offered me a tray! The large buffet area was separate from the eating area which made things very pleasant. Food was constantly being replenished.
The welcome we received at the front desk on arrival could not have been better. The desk clerk was smiling, welcoming and efficient. He even inquired whether I was a member of their loyalty program, looked up my number and made sure I would receive points for this stay. Service above and beyond! We were very impressed by the well trained and cheerful workforce at this location.

Pros:

Very located, clean and comfortable place to stay. Above average breakfast and nice dinner options in the area. Good facility overall.

It looked like it had been a nice place at one time but was generally being neglected.w
Cons:

The safety strips in the tub were coming off which made the tub slippery. The shower pressure stung and it was hard to figure out how the faucets worked. And there was no breakfast.

Wonderful-we even changed reservations to return to this particular hotel!!!
Pros:

Level of customer service exceptional including friendly staff, wonderful cookies for guest, pet bags (with ball) to welcome pets and great breakfast options.!!!

Cons:

Pet charges seem excessive.

Good value with nice extra's
Pros:

We attended a concert at the Palace, just minutes away. The room was a nice surprise, spacious, very comfortable and clean. Very nice dog walk area, bbq area was a special. They had coffee all day- even had cookies after 4PM
