The central location, the big room with a view, breakfast
The very elongated shape of the pillows
Las instalaciones y el servicio de el personal muy amables
EXELENTE UBICACION
TODOME GUSTO
Positives:
- Central location, close to all the museums. However, it seemed a bit dodgy after dark & we preferred Roma Norte as an area.
- Helpful concierge with good bar & shops downstairs.
- The breakfast & buffet on level 12 are great with tasty food when you’ve had too many tacos elsewhere!
The one frustrating thing during our stay was that they closed the pool for a week after we’d been there one day. We stayed during high season so it seemed odd that they closed the pool for a whole week during this busy period to rip out one of the three jacuzzi pools. Surely it could’ve waited for when the least amount of guests were staying at the hotel.
Staff is the best!
Shower at spa was broken, smoke area door on floor 9 was broken as well, no ashtrays, the hallway to get there was completely dark for the 3 nights I stayed there.
This was our second visit to Barceló Mexico Reforma. We selected it for its location, within easy walking distance of Centro and Alameda Central and a short car journey to Roma and many of the museums. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. Enjoyed the in hotel bar.
It would be helpful if breakfast could start earlier than 6:30am. Especially for those with early starts e.g. travelling to the airport. The food at the grill was extremely disappointing. Overpriced, excessively loud music and poor quality food.
Breakfast was great, the service and the safety of the zone and hotel
That the swiming pool was out of service
The premium package; location and upkeep of the hotel was very good.
The staff on level 12 - all the ladies - are absolutely lovely, affable and very approachable and professional. I think Barceló has employed excellent people who work on the 12th floor and I like them all very much.
Some of the communication was poor: it took 7 hours for my suitcase to get up to my room on my arrival.
My Spanish sadly is poor but not many people at the hotel speak English (although Isaac is fluent and welcoming).
The worst point was the security staff outside the hotel. One evening they were really rude to me and tried to step me entering the hotel because they didn’t think I was a guest! I complained to staff and they said they would raise it with the manager, but I heard nothing.
