Perfect location. Spacious room with comfortable beds.
The pillows were a little soft for us so it would be lovely if a few options of firmer pillows were available. Our air conditioning unit was not working.

Our 5th floor room. We opened the windows, moved the lounge chairs to sit and watch the view, and crowds below. Very enjoyable breakfast room with tall windows, and sun beaming in was a great way to start the day. Staff at front desk and elsewhere in the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
Lift was great to have but it was a little scary and old.

Das Hotel ist eher ältlich. Aber wenn einem das gefällt hat es auch Charme Man fühlt sich etwas zurückversetzt in die 70iger. Oder in einen alten Film. 😉
The location is excellent, good continental breakfast, the room was comfortable and large with a bath but it was a upgraded room.
The hotel is dated and a little tired. There are no foreign TV channels, there are no evening dining or bar facilities and the hotel was quite difficult to locate initially because the signage is poor.
Location was fantastic, Breakfast was poor for us as we are vegetarian. Room was ok - bathroom was spacious

Hello,First of all, we were extremely satisfied with Hotel Metropole, where we stayed during our 4-day visit to Lisbon. If you choose this hotel, it means you will be right in the heart of the historic city center. Thanks to this, you can walk everywhere and easily access public transportation. If you plan your routes starting from the top of the hills and moving down toward the river, you can comfortably explore the city on foot. After a tiring day, you can easily get back to your hotel and rest. I can confidently say that the hotel is more than adequate in terms of breakfast, cleanliness, and room size. The dinner recommendations we received from the front desk were absolutely amazing. We would like to thank the night shift receptionist once again for his suggestions, even though we couldn't catch his name.In short, it was a place we thoroughly enjoyed staying at.Note: I forgot to mention; there might be a water leak in the bathroom of room 48. I suggest you check it.
