This hotel was the perfect spot for my solo trip, it was centrally located, very cute and the space was just right for me and very comfortable, I slept so good. The staff were also very friendly and the shared spaces were so inviting. I didn't stay long enough to use the gym or go tot he bar downstairs but loved that it was an option. I look forward to future stays here!
I have travelled to many hotels in Dublin over the years (for business and pleasure) and have always had a great experience except your check-in procedure. We arrived at 1:45 and we told our room was ready. Great, we thought, until a young gentleman informed us that if we wanted to get into our room, we would have to pay an extra 20€— or wait until 2:30. I have NEVER had to wait for to check-in to a hotel when the room is ready. This is bad customer service. I had such an awful exchange with a hotel employee. He was rude. We waited until 2:30 and then had to check-in using a kiosk. What a cold way to be supposedly welcome to your hotel.
Conveniently located, next to a multi story car park and shopping centre. Within walking distance of main city area. Room clean, quiet, comfortable. Check in quick and simple. Good value.
Amy the supervisor and Eralp the bar manger where brilliant, friendly and so kind. Rahul, Sacide, Divya the bar staff couldn't of been more friendly helpful and attentive treated us like family. If staying theses members of staff will go above and beyond to help with anything you need to enjoy your stay. Will be returning again soon
Felt totally scammed, payed for a premium room, got a small, bad smelling, dark room, where we had a toalett pipe splashing constantly. Complained but no response from the reception, they made a big deal that we’ve got what we paid for.
Positive the location is very good.
Very relaxing stay in the Marlin Hotel Dublin. The decor, service and standard of accommodation were excellent and the hotel was very good value and excellently located.
Paid almost 350 Euro for the night and upon arrival I have to check myself in on a giant tablet. I arrived at 14:30 but check in was at 16:00 they wanted to charge me 20 euro to check in early which was insane just based on principle. I feel nickel and dimed. I left my luggage with the staff who were friendly. And I came back at 16:15 and checked in, the room is a little small but is fine. The “cozy” King mattress was terribly uncomfortable. I could feel the metal springs in the mattress. One of the worst hotel mattresses I’ve ever slept on. They had also given me a handicap accessible room despite me not having requested it. The bathroom is designed to facilitate wheel chair use and doesn’t have a tub or shower area which was annoying.
The atmosphere is very modern streamlined, minimalist and lacks any character. For the price I feel ripped off.
Despite a late check in at 1600, check out time is still on the early side, at 1100. And if you want a late check out, of course you have to pay. Nothing complimentary at this hotel, including breakfast. Very poor value. Would definitely never stay again.
I was in Dublin with my son to see James Taylor at the Iveagh Gardens & we stayed at the Marlin.
I have stayed there
several times over the the past few years.
It's a great Dublin hotel,so close to St Stephen's Green & some of Dublins best bars & restaurants.
The Marlin's staff are really helpful & friendly & the rooms are clean & comfortable.
Looking forward to our next stay.
