Location and secure parking nearby
Parking was difficult as spaced tiny and hard to fit car in. Code to check in so no one to speak to about sewerage smell in room, double not twin beds, one towel for two people etc.

The 5am false fire alarm.
On arrival, room smelt like there had been a smoker there previously.

Location
The fire alarm went off at around 4:00 a.m. and again at 5:00 a.m., waking up the entire hotel. It seriously disrupted our sleep and had a negative impact on our stay. I hope the issue will be fixed to prevent this from happening again.

There were no windows in the room and the ceiling fan inefficient it was unbearably hot reception staff provided a fan when asked

The door into the lift room kept banging and we could hear it in our bedroom. The closing mechanism needs to be adjusted so this doesn't happen.
Great location for both city centre and train station
Spacious, nice design, quiet, very convenient location.
Overwhelming scent of air freshener on the way in and out. Some elements were starting to look a little tired, for instance there was a hook missing in the bathroom and a wonky drawer in the kitchen. No coffee bags in the coffee tub when usually there is.
