external window in the bathroom wouldnt close and the latch was broken
Shower was excellent in terms of water pressure and hot water. I couldnt help but wonder at the sheer waste of hot water with the current shower rose being used. The amount of hot water being used with the very high flow rate must mean your power bill is much higher than it needs to be. I strongly suggest you invest in shower roses that still give an excellent shower but using half the amount of hot water. The breakfast was average. having only one toaster (albeit a double toaster) for so many guests created a real bottle neck. There was only one kind of juice to choose from - orange juice- and it was the cheap kind- some real orange juice but with cordial added- The pastries were somewhat stodgy, the cereals were a bit limited, having a staple like weetbix available would have been nice.
The location was ideal, the staff were friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. A very good night's stay. Food in the restaurant was delicious.

A good basic hotel right in the middle of the town centre.
For a Copthorne it felt like a work in progress, with many disused rooms and blocks adjacent the main building. The whole place seemed grey and dismal like the town.

Booked through Booking.com. Family room and double room. Got 3 rooms on 3 different floors with a 5 & 6 year alone in a room. Laura helped here to try and solve the booking.
Order cappuccino for breakfast, got a Latte. Asked for sugar, had to get up and look for it ourselves.
Shared a balcony with other guests.

Appears to be undergoing refurbishment and it needs investment . Exterior of the building needs updating. Possible separate restaurant from hotel lobby somewhat.
