Great Location close to train station
Pros:

Location is a short walk from the train station but you are in town so all very easy for restaurants and Cafes

Cons:

Breakfast was average there are many cafe's within 5 minute walk that would provide better

Very comfortable room and bathroom. Clean and tidy in the hallways. New lift.
Pros:

Big room with a balcony we could open the door and walk onto, although small.
Two queen beds in the room.
Easy to park. Lots of parking.

Cons:

We were a bit shocked when we turned up because of the unused and delaperdated units with the Capthorne Hotel sign on them. Theses are not being used and boarded up. Balcony needs new balustrades.
We went into reception in the multistorey building and were pleasantly surprised.

Very pleasant.
Pros:

Staff were helpful and friendly, very welcoming. And the restaurant was excellent with a very nice menu.
The exterior is obviously going through a renovation, what you see on the outside belies the good things to be found on the inside.

Cons:

The bathroom and balcony could do with a freshen up, although I'm sure that this is all in the reno plan.

Overall a good hotel, definitely coming back if we visit Greymouth
Pros:

Good location, nice views, friendly staff. Clean and comfortable

Cons:

Had buffet breakfast at the restaurant a couple of times, but on one day though we were charged for Buffet breakfast, there wasn't any, finally staff brought an itemized menu where we were asked what we want and were served accordingly. Thats not buffet, and they could have told us before we paid.

Pros:

The rooms are very spacious and clean. The location is perfect from the train. The neds ate very comfortable.
