Nightmare credit card situation
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel and enjoyed my stay, but the customer service from most at the front desk was horrific at a later date. I called this establishment on August the 9th to see why my credit card showed a pending charge of $50 and I was told to contact my bank. I called capital one who said that pending charge was placed on 8/9/2026. So I call back concerned somebody was accessing my credit card without authorization seeing as I checked out of that hotel on the 20th of July and that was 21 days prior. So I spoke my concerns to a front desk clerk who said let me transfer you to my general manager, so I said ok. Next thing you know im getting a voicemail. So I hang up and call back again. This time im getting upset! So I say to the new person im speaking with what happened and she informs me there are no general managers that work on sunday. So I said then why did she transfer me? She could have said the G.M. is not in today but ill transfer you to their voicemail. Anyway it goes down hill fast from their. I believe this person's name was Kim who asked to be put on a conference call with capital one, so I did! Capital one tells her that the pending release was actually done on the 9th and that I'd have to wait 5 days for the pending status to update. To make this already long story short kim from residence inn Marriott, blamed capital one and basically wanted to get off the phone. So I asked for the general mangers name she gave it to me, then I asked for the other manager and she kept saying this conversation is getting nowhere and that she wanted to disconnect. I told her I wanted the persons name she regurgitate some name I couldn't understand her so I asked her to spell it. She then told me to hold and proceeded to never get back on the call again. She left me on hold for over 35 min.! I have no choice but to file a fraud complaint with my credit card (who by the way told me the conversation was recorded if I ever need it) which I was trying to avoid! There was so much more but I don't want to write a novel.

Rooms and Hotel Smell of Weed and are Unacceptable
Pros:

Room smelled badly of must upon arrival so we turned the air conditioning on only to be met with a strong smell of weed. It was late when we arrived and we just wanted to get to bed, but we couldn’t stand it. I went to the front desk to ask for a room change, but they didn’t have any other rooms with 2 beds available (my teenage daughters were with me). The desk attendant was very nice, and wanted to help, but it was an incredibly disappointing experience. In addition to the smell, the bathroom looked VERY worn with the shampoo bottle having been pulled off the wall from its attachment. I cannot believe this hotel is so highly rated. We left, even though it was 11:30 pm, and got a room at the nearby Intercontinental, which is MUCH NICER for a similar price.

I would not recommend staying here. Even common areas were loud and smelled of weed. I travel very often and can usually count on a newer residence inn, but this was not acceptable.

Cons:

This is a nice place especially if it’s an extended stay the rooms have a kitchen. Convenient area to Cleveland attracti
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful. The lobby is nice there is a bar and a fire pit. The rooms are nice and clean. The pool was fun for my kids. We even watched the fireworks on top on the parking deck!

Cons:

We didn’t know until we got there that there’s a $25 per night parking fee and we drove two vehicles. The nice clerk at the desk that checked us in was very nice and accompanied us so well however there was a discrepancy about the room and we were awoken at 11p to a random man walking in our room (not his fault he was shocked too) but the male desk attendant pounded on our door demanding us to leave the room and come downstairs to sort this out because we shouldn’t be there. He had a very nasty attitude. My kid and elderly mother luckily didn’t hear this incident. We did nothing wrong. We spoke to management but it wasn’t much that could be done. Other than that the hotel was great!

Disappointing stay
Pros:

Size of room was good.
Location was ok if u have a car.

Cons:

Housekeeping was terrible. Does not understand a basic room turnover. Example no refill of bath soap, coffee machine still had previous guests filter, no new coffee, shower had hair.
Bed bugs in the blanket.
Was on a 3 week US & this was the worst hotel.
