This was such a great experience. I really enjoyed my stay and I’m a very particular individual when it comes to hotels. I wanna give a Big Thank you to Isaiah for his Amazing customer service, professionalism, and knowledge on a great restaurant choice for my dinner. Thank you, Thank you. This will now be my staycation spot moving forward.

"Stepping into Hotel AKA Alexandria felt like entering a high-end art gallery. The Piero Lissoni-designed interiors are breathtaking, especially the floating steel staircase and the dramatic 'Mamacloud' sculpture above the bar. Our room felt less like a standard hotel and more like a refined residence, featuring huge windows, a massive rainfall shower, and sleek, high-end Italian furnishings. If you appreciate quiet luxury and impeccable lighting, this is the best stay in downtown Alexandria VA.

We had a wonderful stay here! Gorgeous hotel and amazing staff. Marvin and Nigel were so friendly and helpful! Rachid was our server at the restaurant and he was incredible! So friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic. We will definitely return

We had a fabulous breakfast at the hotel. Expensive as one would expect, but delicious. Rachid took very good care of us during our meal.

I booked a suite expecting a higher standard and a more polished experience, but my stay fell short in several key areas.

At check-in, I shared that I had hoped for a more special room; no effort was made to address this. The room also appeared not to have been properly cleaned. The coffee machine still contained a used pod, and water had leaked throughout the machine and tray. The minibar was untidy, and two of the three bottles of Voss water had broken seals—one partially full—raising concerns about cleanliness and quality control.

In addition, my room rate included complimentary breakfast, yet the waitstaff questioned this and had to repeatedly check with reception before honoring it.

Given the condition of the room and the inconvenience experienced, this stay did not reflect the standard expected of a suite or the price paid.

Our stay at AKA Alexandria is always great, but this stay was OUTSTANDING. The manager, Isaiah Frazier, epitomizes hospitality. He truly went above and beyond. The service here is exceptional. Our room was clean and comfortable, as usual, and the neighborhood is safe and walkable. We will return again and again.

Our stay at AKA was exceptional!! I would like to give Nigel some recognition for his amazing customer service, making us feel welcome from checkin to checkout. The atmosphere of hotel was great. Most importantly the room was clean and gave a lux experience. We will definitely return!

Spent two nights here on a staycation. Hotel was well located for us. About a 10 minute walk to King Street (15-20 minute if you opt to go along the waterfront), but also close to some great eateries in-between.

Atmosphere was nice and relaxing - we saw the reviews on the darker lighting but for us it was nice - added to the relaxing vibes. Everything from the great scented toiletries down to the quality of the paper towels really added to the luxury vibe and feel.

In the room lighting was adjustable to our liking and we found it very easy to use the TV casting feature. Bathrooms were also nice and the bed/bedding was super comfy. There was a coffee machine in the room and staff were very helpful when we needed a top up of items.

The room was overall very clean, as were the amenities like the gym. The gym also offered cold bottled water and cold towels. Everything was there for us to maintain our routine. We had breakfast at the restaurant both days. Hash browns were on point!

We booked through AMEX travel so overall it was great value for money. Overall the staff were all delightful - very helpful and friendly.

Nigel and Marvin were amazing. His is truly a hidden gem. Zen atmosphere. Lovely art on the walls and chandeliers in the bar are just so so gorgeous!
A wonderful experience

Favorite hotel in the DMV! Cozy, clean, amazing service and incredible staff- Isaiah and Marvin are great and always helpful! Great dining, beds, pillows, and an awesome gym. Never want to stay anywhere else.

Beautiful hotel and room however, room 433 (right next to elevator) was the worst in terms of trying to sleep. First, when the heat came on it made this really loud, and violent noise awaking me from my sleep. Second, there was an annoyingly and constant knocking sound coming from the wall. I am assuming it was from the elevator. Lastly, you can definitely hear hallway traffic when the sound in your room is quiet. I didn’t sleep well at all. I was only there one night for a staycation. My party and I checked out at 7am due to the issues listed above. When asked how my stay was by the receptionist I responded with the information above and she credited me $13. Again, beautiful hotel! Just don’t stay next to the elevator and ensure your heat/air is working properly to avoid nighttime disturbances.

Great hotel. New and clean feeling with above and beyond service. Marvin at the front desk went beyond what was required multiple times to ensure I had everything I needed despite arriving early and checking out late. He is fantastic and made the stay particularly enjoyable.

This our second time visiting a.k.a. in Alexandria. The hotel staff is a five star operation! I have stayed at many luxury hotels and this hotel never disappoints!

Celebrated our 3 year anniversary here and it was great! BEAUTIFUL hotel, wonderful concierge team and the bartenders were amazing! If they still have it, you gotta get the pecan pie and peanut butter mousse. Conveniently located near old town Alexandria, we practically walked everywhere. We booked the premium king room which was very spacious and we loved the decor. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Isaiah made sure that our stay was comfortable and reviewed all of the amenities with us. Staff at the restaurant was friendly and timely. Valet staff hustled and had our car ready quickly every time. Definitely worth the price you pay!

Lovely stay at the Hotel Alexandria AKA. Rooms have been nicely remodeled—they’re stylish, clean, and comfortable. Staff is kind and accommodating. Conveniently located to get into DC or walk into Old Town. Will stay again!

This was our second time staying - both times were great. The staff is superb - valet/concierge, waiters, bar staff, housekepers and especially the front desk. They were welcoming, friendly, and attentive to our needs. Hotel is clean, large rooms, nice linens, good amenities and just the right bit of 'cool'. Will be back.

I will start with this, Marvin and Isaiah are two of the most authentic individuals I have ever met. Their goal was to make sure my wife and I had a memorable time for this quick little staycation and in no way, shape, or form did they disappoint. From the initial check in I felt I had made the right decision in booking this place. The ambiance in this place was amazing and the room I had for the weekend was perfect.

From the lunch recommendation to the dinner at the hotel, there were no corners cut and they couldn’t miss. When I say Marvin and Isaiah are the epitome of customer service that’s exactly what I mean. They made sure my weekend was peaceful and relaxing and my wife and I didn’t want for anything. Honestly speaking, I have never had an experience at a hotel that made me feel this appreciative EVER, and we have travelled. LOL

I can’t recommend this place enough and upon my checkout, I advised that we would be back very soon.
