The Mandarin Oriental is truly where you want to be in Munich. It’s right next to thr Haufbrauhous and a block down the street from Marienplatz. You cannot go wrong with being so central. The hotel itself is beautiful and so high tech. The rooms have heated floors in the bathrooms and there is casting/airplay to the television . Go for a Mandarin Room if possible, we had one and got the truly best view of the city anyone could have asked for! We saw the entire city sky line. The service is also unmatched. We came in for our honeymoon and upon arrival were met with gifts and rose petals littering the room. It was such a personalized and thoughtful touch. Everyone knew our names too!
Stayed for 4 nights with my family with 2 young children. Absolutely amazing services - everyone remembers your name from bellboy, front deck to restaurant. All requests are met on the spot.
Mandarin Room is gorgeous and spacious.

This hotel guarantees quality and excellent service. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated! The restaurants are very good, the service is spectacular, and the beds are the best. It's very well located in the center of Munich; you can walk everywhere. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We have recently returned from a three night stay at this hotel, the third time we have stayed there, owing to previous visits having been so enjoyable.
The location is ideal.

There is a major construction site at present only metres from the hotel. The noise and negative impact from this is significant. Be aware!
Service in the main restaurant at breakfast
was often disorganised with a slightly bad vibe.
There was another fairly small issue concerning an absent part of our deal which should have been so easy to resolve, and yet
was not.
For the notably high price we paid, poor value for money at present.

This hotel is the real deal for a combination of reasons — fantastic location (in the heart of the city); attentive staff (who all seem to know your name once you check in) and luxurious accommodations (every detail is thought of.) Suggest booking a package that includes their breakfast — probably the greatest buffet ever known to man. Also, carve out time for cocktails in their lobby bar — perfectly made with a personal touch (yes, they will remember your drink order the next day when you return!)
